A mom onboard an airplane headed to France from Istanbul gave the flight crew and passengers quite a shock when she unexpectedly went into labor. The mom reportedly began to have labor pains on the plane, but thankfully, the aircraft was still on the tarmac. Crews rushed into action and helped to deliver the tiny baby successfully.
The dramatic scene unfolded in November on a Pegasus Airlines plane departing from Istanbul to Marseille. Video footage of the scene appears to show amazed passengers unaware that a new baby just joined them.

The flight crew apparently wasted no time.
The crew aboard the Pegasus Airlines flight was finalizing preparations for departure when they reportedly noticed the unidentified mother in distress, according to the Daily Mail. She reportedly began to experience labor pains shortly after getting on the plane.
Her discomfort increased, and the flight crew tended to her and helped her to another part of the plane, where she ultimately gave birth.
Paramedics rushed onto the plane.
Video footage obtained by the Daily Mail shows emergency crews racing to the mother as nervous passengers try to understand what is happening onboard. A passenger appears to be bringing baby items to the back of the carrier to give to the crew caring for the newborn. It is a chaotic and miraculous scene.

People on the plane are heard cheering as emergency personnel rush off the aircraft with the tiny baby in their arms. The infant was reportedly taken to an area hospital for treatment. The identity and conditions of the mother and baby are unknown.
Footage posted online drew criticism from some viewers.
Although few details about the mother and child were released, many comments on social media sites like TikTok were critical.
"Personally my midwife suggests cutting off travel around 36 weeks ," one person shared.
"Congrats to mom, but I wouldn't risk with my baby," someone else wrote.
Others doubted the surprise.
"That's like a 3 and a half hour flight no way she didn't know she was about to pop before she got on that flight," another person wrote.
"Why was she flying being that far along pregnant crazy crazy," one comment reads.

But other people were more compassionate.
Some people considered that the labor may have come on quickly and that the mom was caught off guard by the sudden change.
"You never know if people are either irresponsible or they are going to a bereavement. I never judge. You never know," one TikToker pointed out.
Others pointed out that the baby could have been born prematurely, and some reminded people that babies are born when they want to be born.
