There are a lot of positive and negative things to be said about using ChatGPT. Some people are often rightfully concerned about the negative impacts of creating a relationship with artificial intelligence. It can be dangerous, especially for those who are emotionally susceptible to manipulation. But, on the other hand, there are benefits. It can enable people to feel more confident or can distill information in an understandable way. Recently, a woman even used ChatGPT to save herself from a violent relationship. The man she was dating, Jacquan Wilson, was later arrested on charges related to the alleged abuse he afflicted on her.
The woman, whose identity and age were not revealed in a probable cause affidavit obtained by People, met 37-year-old Wilson on Facebook a few months before his September arrest. She alleged that Wilson, who is an escort involved in an escorting business, recruited her to have sex with multiple clients a day.
Between September 23 and 26, 2025, the woman alleges that Wilson brutally beat her, smacked her in the face, kicked her in the ribs, punched her in the face, and said things to cause her “emotional pain.”
On September 23, Wilson was allegedly mad that the woman didn’t hug him when she returned to the hotel where they were staying. He told her “You need to put your son to bed so he doesn’t witness what I’m going to do to you,” according to the affidavit, People reported.
Another time, she was running 12 minutes late to meet a client, and the man allegedly FaceTimed her and threatened to “chop off [her] fingers.” He then held a knife and threatened to hurt her 1-year-old son, per the magazine.

On September 26, investigators said the woman used ChatGPT to create an email saying she needed to return and replace a rental car, KCTV reported. She packed up a few items before driving to the Hertz rental location at Kansas City International Airport. There, she met family members and police.
Officers saw multiple wounds consistent with the abuse she described. Investigators noted she “appeared emotionally distressed and defeated during the entire interview.”
Police searched the hotel room and found the knife she described. Wilson was not there, but he was arrested on September 27. Initially, Wilson told police he was willing to make a statement. He then backtracked and requested a lawyer.
As of December 9, he was still being held in Platte County Jail with no bond allowed. According to the outlet, through the investigation, it was discovered that Wilson has an active probation violation warrant for attempted homicide in Salt Lake City.
For the Kansas City crimes, he has been charged with trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, promoting prostitution, armed criminal action, domestic assault, child endangerment and unlawful use of a weapon. According to People, he pleaded not guilty. A court appearance has not yet been set.
