Have you ever gotten a weird vibe from someone and knew something just wasn't right? We have all probably had a strange feeling about someone a time or two in our lives and avoided being around them because we were uncomfortable. We were likely told at some point that "if something feels wrong, it probably is" or to "trust your gut." Sharing those feelings with others might even protect someone else from a bad situation.
Women are particularly good at warning other women about potentially unsafe situations, and thanks to social media, it's possible to get the word out to a lot of people quickly. Recently, Alexis Dumont posted a series of screenshots warning other women about a man named Steven Porterfield and his allegedly sinister intentions. The messages are terrifying and a must-see for all women.

Steven Porterfield allegedly made some strange threats.
Dumont posted a series of texts from Porterfield, who she claimed in the comments had been "harassing" her for months. In the exchange, Porterfield tells Dumont he's going to start kidnapping women, and when Dumont questions him, he writes, "Yup, I'm tired of woman, especially the woman out here." The conversation continues and Dumont probes Porterfield, who makes some shocking claims.
He reportedly planned to find women on dating apps.

He claims a woman dumped him, and he has a plan for her. "I was just seeing a woman and now she wants nothing to do with me I'm gonna go to her house first then its gonna start from there." Dumont asks who it was, but Porterfield refuses to say. But he did make some terrifying threats.
"I told you I'm gonna kill her then I'm gonna meet other woman online that I'm talking too and I'm gonna kill them and bring them to a certain spot in the woods to bury them," he reportedly wrote.
He seemingly wants to kill all of his exes.
Porterfield continues to tell Dumont he is going to kill all of the women who have "f—ed him over" during his life. He allegedly was in Colorado at the time of the exchange, but planned to go back to New Hampshire for his ex. He tells Porterfield she knows his victim and she'll "eventually find out."
Her post quickly went viral.
She captioned the Facebook post: "PSA: who knows this man cuz????? Yall girls be safe." It was shared thousands of times. The comments section was filled with words of warning from other women.
One person wrote: "This man has always been mentally insane. He dated a friend of mine years ago and beat her & was just in my inbox a little bit ago popping off because I wouldn't go out with him."
Another agreed: "I had a legit stalker (I had no idea who he was) tell me he's been watching me and has plans to rape me, my towns police found the person on the fake account he was using, went to his house, arrested him, he spent 1 year in jail & now we have a no contact order forever. It's scary and traumatizing. I hope this man gets some sort of punishment, he needs f—ing help."

Some internet sleuths found an apparent connection.
Tee Smith shared Dumont's original post on Facebook and as it gained traction, made a connection between Porterfield and Chelsea Glover, 31, who went missing from Ossipee, New Hampshire, in January 2024. Her body was recovered in Dover on March 13. Glover and Porterfield were reportedly connected on Facebook. He has not been charged in connection with her death, but his behavior has many concerned.
According to jail records, Porterfield was arrested in Denver on April 7, on harassment charges. His bond was set at $2,000, and he was scheduled to appear in court on April 11.
"UPDATE: he has apparently been arrested but still just in case he's released, make sure you know this FACE! please BE SAFE girlies," Smith wrote.
