"What do you want to be when you grow up?" It's the question every single parent has uttered at one point during their child's most formative years. And a new survey has polled almost 4,000 American parents to find out what their children, ages 10 and under, wish to be when they're older.
Get ready for this, world, because we're about to have a ton more good guys in the next generation. Check out the list of the 10 most popular career choices for today's fourth graders:

10. Santa
Maybe it's a seasonal job, but Santa has quite a sweet gig going. So much so that 1 in 10 kids wants to be good ol' Saint Nick. And they can make it happen.
9. Police Officer
So many good guys. Not that we're complaining, of course, but it looks like 15 percent of all kids wish to be police officers at one point.
8. Chef
Here's one more reason to let your kiddo help you out with preparing dinner. Parents admitted that 16 percent of all kids want to be professional chefs. So let them start with the recipe experiments now.
7. Astronaut
Who doesn't dream of some outerspace travel? According to the poll, 18 percent of all kids wish to shoot out in a rocket and explore the rest of the galaxy.
6. Prince/Princess
Boys and girls alike (23 percent of them, actually) have all wished to be royals. Let's be honest here, though, it's not just kids who have this dream. We're still waiting for our coronations.
5. Teacher
Think all those hours spent at school didn't have an influence? Sure, they learned some things and came away with plenty of skills, but they also got a few serious career mentors. Get this: 24 percent of kids also want to be teachers.
4. President of the United States
The Commander in Chief? The Leader of the Free World? That's right — 29 percent of kids have wanted to be the President of the good ol' U S of A.
3. Doctor
Science is not lost, people! Of all kids, 33 percent would also like to be doctors. Thanks for taking care of us in our old age, kids.
2. Celebrity
Looks like 36 percent of kids have, at one point, wanted to be a celebrity. Exactly how they'd achieve this, there doesn't seem to be any official plan, but the lifestyles of the rich and famous are coveted right from the start.
1. Superhero
That's right, Mom and Dad, the number-one career choice for 10-year-olds is superhero. In total, 37 percent of all surveyed kids have wanted to don a cape and fight for justice on behalf of the people.
