This Dad Followed Mom’s Bedtime Instructions to the Letter & We’re Dying

Parenting comes naturally to some dads — they can change diapers and swaddle with ease. But while they love their babies, other dads are less sure of their parenting skills. For them, it's momma knows best, and they'll listen to whatever she says. Take for example Aaron Cade, who followed his partner's instructions on putting their daughter to bed very, very precisely.

Cade was driving home with his 2-year-old daughter London when the little girl fell asleep in the car. Mom Ashlie Nicole Williams was doing dishes when the father-daughter duo came home. "He told me she was asleep so I told him to just put her in the bed and I'd wake her up and bathe her later," she told BuzzFeed News.

Cade said, "Okay," and headed out of the kitchen, and Williams finished the dishes. When she was done, she went to check on her daughter.

Cade's a good daddy, so he followed her instructions — exactly. Williams found her daughter peacefully sleeping in the bed, still in her car seat. Cade even took the extra step of tucking the seat in with a blanket.

Williams cracked up. "I literally walked out of the room to laugh because I didn't want to wake her up," she said. "I turned the light out and left her there."

She asked Cade what happened. "Really, dude?" He just stared at her blankly. "I couldn't be mad because he did EXACTLY what I asked," she said.

True.

She shared the photo on Twitter, where it quickly went viral thanks to parents who could relate.

Dads take moms' instructions very seriously. Not just when putting babies to bed. They follow our advice when it comes to diapers too.

It's obvious that Cade and all these dads love their kids. And if the moms ever head out for the night and leave instructions for Dad, there will be no late bedtimes or ice cream sundae treats here. What Mom says goes. Exactly.
