A newborn video has gone viral, but unfortunately not because of how adorable the baby is. Instead of a sweet smile or breathtaking birth, the shocking clip captures a nurse laughing as she tries to "mold" the infant's face while two other colleagues crack up in the background. After the footage took off on social media, the nurses were identified and quickly fired for their treatment of this sick child.
The incident reportedly occurred in Saudi Arabia after the newborn was brought back to the hospital for a urinary tract infection. The three hospital employees allegedly squashed the infant's face during his 10-day stay at the hospital in which they worked, and his parents only found out after the clip of the nurses laughing while their baby's head was squeezed went viral.

According to Abdulhadi Al-Rabie, a spokesperson for Taif Health Affairs, the incident occurred at the city's Children's Hospital. "The Health Affairs investigated the source of the video and was able to identify the nurses who appeared in the video and the hospital where the incident took place. The nurses were immediately suspended by the order of Director of Taif Health Affairs Saleh Al-Muanis," Al-Rabie said, according to the Saudi Gazette.
The child's outraged father called for the Ministry of Health to take action against the nurses who mistreated his child as well as those who shared the video of the abuse on social media. According to the Daily Mail, the three nurses have since had their medical licenses revoked and are now banned from practicing nursing in other health departments.
