Anyone who thinks a stay-at-home mom's life is easy most likely has never been a SAHM for an extended period of time. Sure, there may be chunks of time where you can make your own schedule and do what you want whenever you want, but you are also always on the clock with no sick days or vacations.
Others assume that when your kids go to school you're left with nothing to do all day, but that simply isn't the case for every mom. Yet, some still want to know how these women possibly fill their days when they aren't at a traditional office job.
An anonymous user asked online what stay-at-home moms do when they aren't 'working' and their kids are at school.
In a post on that could come across as pretty judgmental, one woman asked fellow Mumsnet users for some clarity about stay-at-home moms. There's no question that stay-at-home moms with older children have more control over their day, and maybe this person was seriously curious about how the workload shifts. Or maybe she was trying to passively throw stones at those who work hard but just in a different way.
