British reality star Dan Osborne recently shared a photo on Instagram that captured a sweet moment as he put his "little princess" to bed the night before her third birthday. It didn't take long before the dad of two was called out for being "inappropriate," and although some of these harsh comments have since been deleted, fans were quick to come to his defense.

The Huffington Post UK asked people on their parenting Facebook page to weigh in on the issue, and many had no time for anyone who sees this act as anything more than a dotting daddy saying goodnight. Instead of hating on him, they backed him up.

People were quick to say that if it's fine with the kiddo, it should be fine with everyone else.

One mom of two boys sees absolutely nothing wrong with kissing her son on the lips. "I kiss both my kids on the lips and I'll continue to for as long as they're comfortable with it," she wrote.

And these parents weren't afraid to tell haters to step off.

"I'll kiss my little boy every day on the lips because I utterly adore him and that's it … he is my whole world and for as long as he's not embarrassed to be kissed by his mother, then I'll treasure them every day xxx," another mom added.

Some also pointed out that even if it's not something you would do, it doesn't mean it's okay to judge others for it.

"I think kissing is like hugging and some families do, some don't. Personally, we hug our daughter lots and give her a peck on the lips and will continue to do that so long as she's comfortable with it," another user wrote. "Not everyone does, and some don't hug their kids much either. There can be lots of reasons for that and I try not to judge."

Others called it like they saw it: It's natural.

"It's no more sexual than breastfeeding. It's perfectly natural," one user pointed out.

They believe that it's innocent and people need to stop spiraling down such a dark hole.
