If you've ever boarded a flight with a fussy baby, you know that things can get pretty hairy really quick. Trying to change diapers and soothe cries in cramped quarters — while praying the little one doesn't have a huge, embarrassing meltdown — can be enough to give you the cold sweats.
A while back, a new mom who was traveling from Seoul, South Korea, to San Francisco knew the flight probably wouldn't be easy for her. But she also understood that being on a plane with a cranky baby ain't such a walk in the park for fellow passengers, either.

That's why she planned ahead, apologizing in advance for any annoyance that may ensue by handing out thoughtful 'goodie bags' for each of her fellow passengers.
We know — super nice, right?
Each one of the goodie bags was stocked with candy, earplugs, and a typed note written in the voice of her infant son Junwoo, who just wanted everyone to know that as much as he'd try his best to be cool on this flight, he's also 4 months old and may or may not freak out.
'Hello, I'm Junwoo,' the note begins. 'I'm a little bit nervous and [scared] because it's my first flight in my life … '
It continues on to say that although he'll try to keep quiet, he "can't make any promises," which is why his mom has prepared a little goodie bag for when things get noisy.
In total, Junwoo's mom handed out 200 goodie bags. (Whoa!)
Photos of the note and the goodie bags were shared on Facebook by one of the passengers, who called it a 'touching gesture.'
Of course, as luck would have it, little Junwoo turned out to be a model passenger.
"Not a peep out of the kid," the passenger's Facebook post noted — which is pretty impressive for a baby on a 10-hour flight.
Of course, it wasn't long before people started chiming in — and let's just say, they had some opinions.
Although most commenters noted that the gesture was definitely sweet, many found it sad the mom felt the need to apologize in advance.

Babies cry — it's literally one of the top three things they do in those early months. And as many commenters pointed out, the world needs to get used to it instead of expecting them to somehow miraculously become silent in public spaces. Especially when it only puts more pressure on the stressed-out parent.
"Being a mother, I would have said don't worry," one user wrote on Yahoo Lifestyle's Facebook post about the story. "The pressure change in the plane affects all, babies most of all. If people can't understand that then they are uneducated on the matter."
Others applauded the mom's ability to somehow assemble 200 goodie bags while packing for a trip and taking care of an infant.

Honestly, we're in this camp ourselves — we can barely pack efficiently for ourselves, let alone a child. Putting together 200 treat bags and a personalized note would definitely cause us to miss our flight.

Others got a little … shall we say testy, arguing that there are bigger things to be concerned about on a plane than a few cries from a baby.

"Get your headphones if you can't stand it," wrote one user. (That's a fair point to make — no one should board a plane without a solid pair of noise-canceling headphones, in our opinion.)
"Everyone forgets they were not a perfect silent baby," added another commenter. "Grow up you complaining adults!"
Of course, there were plenty of others who couldn't pass up a good punchline when they saw one.

"I'll take a crying baby over the jerk who sneezes and doesn't sanitize any day," wrote one commenter.
Um, yeah — that or the person who kicks your seat 900 times before even taking off. Or the one who plays Candy Crush at top volume with no headphones on. Or hey, how about that guy who once made headlines for removing his PANTS mid-flight?
We'd take baby Junwoo any day of the week over that guy.
