Kids are super aware of food — in fact, most moms would argue that their entire day revolves around it in some form or another. Whether it is obsessing over snack time, or just refusing to eat, their interactions with food are plenty. Without a doubt the toddlers in your life have favorite foods, and they probably feel like they could make those foods from scratch. But if you actually asked them how they'd do it, we can guarantee the answers would be adorably hilarious.
Twitter user Jordan Adams confirmed this when he shared a little project his nephew Ethan was a part of.
Apparently in Ethan's pre-K class, the teacher asked the students to write down their favorite recipes and combined them into a cookbook. The kids were to give the prep time, cook time, cost, ingredients needed, and, of course, the directions … word for word.
The results? Well, we think Jordan's Tweet pretty much nailed it. "...so much better than I could’ve imagined."
I mean come on, who could not thoroughly enjoy oven directions like:
"The oven has to be hot like fire…like a candle… like for birthdays."
Joe's tacos also sound pretty interesting.
Only poor Joe doesn't know much about … well, anything that has to do with making or eating tacos.
We're not entirely sure what kind of pancakes Sebastian is eating.
He wants to charge us $70 for a plate of salt!? Man, pancakes are more complicated than we thought.
Almost needless to stay, the Internet completely ate this up.
Twitter users were really feeling the stream of consciousness these recipes encapsulated. And from Joe's tacos to Ariana's macaroni, people could not get enough of these adorable recipes.
The cutest part? Another Twitter user, Ariana Quigora, replied that as a mom of one of Ethan's classmates, she received a book as a Mother's Day present, and the rest of the recipes are equally "hilarious."
Note to all teachers: Please do this for us?!
