We do not give babies and toddlers enough credit for being smart. When they're determined, they will stop at nothing to get what they want. If you've been around a baby, you've likely seen that determination play out in real time.
A video captured a baby in Colombia masterminding a clever escape from his crib, and it's a great example of willpower.

You then see the crib scooting across the room. The clever baby is clearly making good progress and soon realizes that he's mere inches away from reaching the cot. A few more scoots forward and success, he manages to get the crib next to the cot.
Once the crib is against the cot, the baby is able to make his escape. He reaches forward and gently tumbles out of the crib and onto the cot pretty effortlessly. He grabs his stuffie and leaves the room before realizing one important thing: the crib is still in the middle of the room.
So he drops the stuffie on the floor and pushes the crib back against the wall. Once it's perfectly in place, he grabs his stuffie and heads out the room. The mission is complete!
Now that's one excellent escape plan.
