Sometimes you know when you’re done having kids — and other times life laughs right in your face. Just ask two parents on TikTok who were so convinced they were done that the husband even got a vasectomy — but a recent viral video the two shared shows just how wrong they were.
The video starts with a celebration — well, sort of.
TikTok user @lafrenztraci slid a cookie cake in front of her husband, but when he saw the message written on the cake his face fell: “We are officially outnumbered.” Yep, baby No. 3 is on the way.
“Are you serious?” he asked her in the clip — clearly stunned. Meanwhile, their daughter was hilariously off to the side adding some colorful commentary.
"That’s your name!" she said, misreading the cake. "That says Daddy!"
She then picks up the positive pregnancy tests that @lafrenztraci’s also passed over to husband.
“What are these?” she asked.
Dad couldn't really answer her, however, because he was clearly still processing.
“You’re serious,” he said before taking the tests from his daughter. “Ooohhh boy.”
“What are those?” their daughter asked again.
"You know what that means?" dad said, before letting out the world's biggest sigh. "We’re going to have another baby brother or sister."
Their daughter then turned her attention to eating the cake and asked her mom if she could have a slice.
“Oh yeah, for everybody,” lafrenztraci said from behind the camera.
In all fairness, their doctor did clear them for take-off, so-to-speak, after her husband got his vasectomy — but, uh, clearly it didn’t take.
“What do you think, Daddy?” the mom added. He then asked how far along she was — “about four or five weeks,” she answered.
People in the comments section couldn't stop laughing.
"The look of a man figuring out that he has another college tuition to pay for," one commenter joked.
"He looks like he wants to cry," someone else added.
"I know many vasectomy babies," someone else warned. "Never rely on a man for birth control."
And other people couldn't get over how funny their daughter was.
"Not the kid on the side validating why he didn’t want anymore kids," one person commented.
"I love the kid who was like 'Don’t you guys see this giant cookie! What could possibly be more important!?!???'" someone else noticed.
Later in the thread, the mom wrote that the video was actually taken a few years ago and her kids are now 8, 5, 4 "and it’s a great vibe."
Although one commenter seemed to say what we're all thinking: "My worst fear."
