A common treat with an unusual surprise

She couldn't stay silent about this

Piper quickly reached out to the Starbucks she purchased the cake pop from to alert them to her situation. They told her that they were immediately pulling cake pops from both of her local Starbucks stores.

"They said they have contacted the manufacturer (of the cake pops) and that I should email them as well. (I am) confused as to what I should say to the manufacturer, as this seems to be a Starbucks issue to me," she said.

The local police are involved as well

"I handed it over to the police and they will decipher what it is and I will leave it in the hands of the RCMP," Piper told the outlet. The Comox Valley RCMP confirmed that they were aware of the situation and are investigating what could have happened.
