Mom Runs From a Bug and Sends Her Baby in a Stroller Rolling Into the Street

Sometimes — a lot of times — our fears are irrational. We’re afraid of things that cause no real danger. But for one reason or another, they freak us out, give us the heebie-jeebies, or, in the worst cases, cause us to act completely out of character.

One mom found herself acting out when she came in contact with some type of bug that made her forget herself and her responsibilities — like the baby she was pushing in the stroller.

This mom was confronted by a bug and completely panicked.

A video that’s making its rounds on social media shows a mother, an elementary school aged child, and a baby in a stroller walking out of their home. As mom makes her way off of the porch, something hits her in the face. No word on whether it was a spider web or an actual bug. But whatever it was, it sent this mama for a loop. She completely panicked. In the middle of her meltdown, she let go of the stroller and ran back toward the house.

Thankfully, the video didn't end in tragedy.

While she may have escaped the bug, the presumed baby in the stroller was in graver danger as they rolled toward the street. Thankfully, an older sibling was still thinking clearly. After a second or two of processing, he yells, “The baby!” and darts after the runaway stroller. By this time, mom has snapped out of her stupor and sprints after her child.

Thankfully, there were no cars coming and by the time the video ends, it seems as if all is well. But that didn’t stop people from coming for this frazzled woman.

'Everyone shouldn’t have a child,' one user wrote.

“Not the little boy going after the baby before her!” one user wrote.

“I hate bugs to but kids safety comes first,” another offered. “Baby could’ve been killed!”

“Like I said everyone shouldn’t have a child because this should’ve never happened!” someone else declared. “Fight me I said what tf I said.”

There were other people who came to her defense.

There were also people who came to this mom’s defense.

“We are not about to judge this lady,” one user offered. “She ran faster than Sha’carri to get that baby!”

Another took issue with how the video was being framed. “She didn’t know the dang stroller was gone keep rolling lol ABANDONED is a strong word,” someone pointed out.

“All I see here is a great mom,” one commenter wrote. “She evaded a bug, saved the baby from danger, and the eldest knew better than to run into the street. Get off her back!”
