A dad is being called "selfish" after being seen in a viral TikTok video. The video was made by a woman who goes by One Tough Mother on the app. She shared a story with her followers of what happened during a flight, and people were outraged by the dad's behavior.

Many comments pointed out that if the dad had taken the seat, the other child would have been alone, and yes, that is correct. But as many replied, the dad should have declined the offer and let the child stay in their original seat instead of leaving her with all of the kids so he could have a relaxing child-free flight.
Because of the amount of comments, One Tough Mother, who shared that her name is Christine, had to make a follow-up video.
"This post went pretty bonkers, but what strikes me most of all is how differently it's received by men and women in the comments," she started. "The mental gymnastics that men will do to try to defend this guy is unreal."
She explained the seating arrangements for both her and her own kids and this other family. Then added that the dad tried to make her sit in the middle seat vacated by his young child.
"The only reasonable option in this situation was for him to say, 'No thank you. I'm actually sitting here with my other child. Thanks anyway,'" she pointed out.
"I care, because I am a mom," she said, adding that even with a present, helpful partner, "it is still hard to be a mom."
She points out that "this is just a scenario that happened that we should all be equally repulsed by."
