TikTok Couple Captures the Moment After Nurses Tried To Give Them the Wrong Baby

We’ve all heard about some crazy things that have happened in the hospital. Mother-in-laws who try to sneak into the delivery room, and women who call out for their exes during the delivery. Now we have one poor woman who recently revealed that the nurses at the hospital where she gave birth almost gave her the wrong baby to take home.

The mom, Ashley Taylor, shared a clip from the bizarre incident on February 18.

It appears the video was originally published on SnapChat and later shared on TikTok, and it features the moment right after the mix-up happened. The footage shows a woman, most likely Taylor, climbing out of her hospital bed and giving the person behind the camera an incredulous look.

“They literally just tried to give us the wrong baby,” the video's text overlay reads. “Also, this was my first baby and I did not know I could refuse them to take my baby,” Taylor added in the comments.

People in the comments section were stunned.

"This is why my babies never go to the nursery," one person wrote.

"I read in an article a nurse switched over 5000 babies for fun …" another person added.

"Ppl are justified in their feeling about this. You don’t get to make oopsies in healthcare, we’re responsible for other ppl’s lives. Vigilance is key!" someone else chimed in.

Other people cut the nurses some slack.

"Sometimes it happens, nurse go to wrong room bec they are human too," one person commented. "That's why there is an armband to check for correction."

"That's why they check the bands," another commenter pointed out.

"I don’t think she did it on purpose y’all … chill," someone else argued.

Later in the thread, the mom wrote that the nurse who caused the situation was very apologetic about what happened.

"The nurse was very sweet about the mixup, it was an accident. I understand how things can get," the mom wrote.

"Nobody’s perfect," she continued. "I was just worried about my baby."
