If you’ve ever been startled awake in the middle of the night — only to learn that your kid has wet the bed and left an Olympic-sized pool of urine all over the sheets — then you should probably listen very closely to what we’re about to share next. A TikTok mom is going viral for sharing her super convenient hack that makes dealing with bed-wetting accidents a virtual breeze.
The genius mama goes by @lauren.clutter on TikTok
But according to Lauren, parents can make it way easier on themselves
… and all it takes is establishing a particular bed-making routine.
In her viral TikTok video, Lauren says she only uses Beddys (pronounced “b ed-ease”) bedding, which can be removed in one fell swoop, much like a fitted sheet.
Underneath, she has a waterproof mattress cover, which will seriously save your mattress from long-term staining and hard-to-remove odors after an accident.
That's not all, though ...
Lauren takes things one step further by also putting a clean fitted sheet under the waterproof mattress cover.
This way, after you’ve removed the top two layers of soiled bedding and tossed them in the laundry, the bed is already freshly made for your kiddo to climb back in. (Well, after they’ve changed out of their wet PJs, that is.)
She also tucks an extra folded blanket under the mattress
That way, she can easily whip it out and cover her little one up so everyone can go back to bed.
Pretty clever, huh?
The hack was originally shared in July 2020
But, as with all great things on the internet, it’s been getting shared again over the last few weeks as new parents discover it.
@lauren.clutterSay goodbye to changing out sheets in the middle of the night! #momhacks #momhack #momtips #parentinghacks #parentinghack #momtips #learnontiktok
In response, a lot of TikTokers have given the mom a serious round of applause.
“I would have loved to know this when mine were little!” wrote one user. “Great idea for future grand babies.”
“Love the idea of the fitted sheet under the pad … but am I the only one who just throws a towel down for them?” admitted another person.
A lot of parents said this was the first time they’d actually heard of Beddys, which is billed online as “the bedding that makes itself.” (Seriously — its convenient zip-up design will put an end to all that nagging you have to do for your kids to make their beds.)

That said, there were several comments from people who found the price tag to be a bit steep. (A basic toddler-bed set can run you over $129, and it only climbs upwards from there.)
But according to Lauren, who chimed in on the comments, the investment is more than worth it in the long-run — whether your kid struggles with bed-wetting, or not.
And according to one other commenter, a trick like this one isn’t just useful for kids.
“I have done this for a year just in case I get my period in the little night,” the TikTok user wrote. “Game changer!”
Wow — never would have thought of that. (Might just have to try it … )
