When a toddler mom smelled poop in her home one day, she thought her 2-year-old son, Gio, “must’ve pooped his diaper.” However, she quickly realized this wasn’t the case. After identifying the actual source of the awful smell, she didn’t know whether she should laugh or cry.
Jordan Scarfino and her husband searched all around the house before finally finding the poop in their toddler’s hand.

The toddler was sleeping with poop in his hand.
Jordan couldn’t believe that her toddler was sleeping with poop in his hand. “It’s in his hand,” the mom said on TikTok after finally finding the poop. “Send help.” She captioned the initial video with, “I don’t know if I’m laughing or crying.”
In a follow-up video, she explained how she dealt with the situation.
While her toddler was asleep, Jordan managed to take the poop out of his hand. As she helped her son wash his hands and got him back into bed, he said, “Where my poo? Where my poo?”
When she left the room to get a diaper for him, she thought he was asleep.

When she went back into the room, she found him picking something up.
Upon seeing this, the mom said she “triple checked” the area (and her toddler’s hands) for more poop. Luckily, she didn’t find anything. However, her toddler seemed to think he still had poop in his hands, and fell back asleep. “He thought he was still snuggling with his poop,” the mom said.
Reacting to the story in the comments, one TikTok user wrote, “I’d start crying.”
After hearing the second part of the story, one person commented, “It really was an emotional support turd!”
The interest in poop might actually run in the family.
“Is it a toddler thing?” Jordan wondered in a third video. “Does he get it from me?”
In the video, Jordan showed her followers an invitation to a Super Bowl party her parents hosted when she was a kid. The invitation featured a photo of Jordan as a toddler. In it, she was covered in poop because she was a “poop painter” when she was Gio’s age. “That was a daily thing for me,” Jordan said. “Imagine. I can’t imagine. The poop snuggling is enough.”
Her mom says it's karma.
During an interview with People, Jordan said her mom thinks Gio’s poop snuggling is “karma.” “When I was 2, my mom had to deal with me painting with poopy diapers every day,” she told the publication. “She eventually had to put my crib in the middle of the room so I’d stop painting the walls.”
One of Jordan’s TikTok followers wrote that Jordan’s mom was probably “waiting for this payback [her] whole life.”
Another person wrote, “Karma always has a good sense of humor.”
