After months of speculation and rumors, Ashanti and Nelly are finally filling fans in on their big news. In a new interview, Ashanti not only confirmed that she's pregnant with the couple's first child but also that she and Nelly are engaged. Seeing this celebrity couple reunite after 20 years apart was exciting enough, but knowing they're finally getting their happily ever after is basically like a real-life fairy tale.

Ashanti shared a video announcing her pregnancy on Instagram.
In the video, the singer is getting ready for a performance while her mom, Tina Douglas, tries to track her down in her dressing room, asking her how long she'll need to get ready.
"Uh, I'm gonna need about nine months," Ashanti replies when she finally appears.
She opened up more about her growing family in a new interview.
While talking to Essence, she not only opened up about her pregnancy but also called Nelly her fiancé (and very casually, might we add).
"This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation," Ashanti said. "Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience."
Rumors about Ashanti's pregnancy first surfaced in December.
At the time, a source close to the couple shared the intel with Us Weekly, saying, "Nelly and Ashanti are welcoming their first baby together."
This will be Ashanti's first child. Nelly is already a dad to two children who are now grown up and in their 20s, Cornell Haynes III and Chanelle.

Fans are over the moon about the news.
In the comments of her Instagram post, fans shared their excitement for the expecting star and her husband-to-be.
One of her followers wrote, "Nelly said you not getting away from me again."
"We all knew but it hits different when it's confirmed," another fan added.
So far, she hasn't revealed any of the specifics about her future plans with Nelly.
There's no word just yet on when her due date is or when she and Nelly are planning to get married, but at this point, it's exciting enough to know that they're building a life together after so many years apart.
