Nearly a year after his birth, Kylie Jenner shared the name she and Travis Scott have given to their son. Days after his birth, the reality TV star announced she had named her son Wolf, only to reveal days later that she and Travis decided to change it. Now, 11 months later, Kylie has revealed her son's unique name and an explainer on how to pronounce it.
He’s not a Wolf anymore.
On January 21, Kylie shared a collage of photos to her Instagram account, featuring her son’s full face for the first time, nearly a year after his birth.
And along with the adorable new photos, Kylie updated fans on the name she and Travis eventually landed on for him.
Welcome, Aire.
Kylie's caption was about her son, simply writing "AIRE" along with a white heart emoji. And with the name reveal, she included four photos of the baby, the first time she shared a full-face photograph of the little man.
According to baby name experts, the name Aire is Hebrew and means "lion of God."
The Kardashian-Jenner family and friends lit up Kylie's comment section, and so did her fans.
"The king!!! Young king!!!!!" her sister, Khloé Kardashian, shared.
"I love you Aire Webster," mama, Kris Jenner, wrote.
"Adorable," added her brother, Brody Jenner.
Kylie's friends got in on celebrating the name announcement and cute photos as well.
"Aire angel," Hailey Bieber wrote.
"Omg angel" SZA shared.
Fans were happy to see photos of Aire, and shared their thoughts on his name in the comment section.
One fan was curious about how to pronounce Aire, and Kylie cleared it up.
With names that end in the letter "e" it's sometimes hard to know if that letter is silent or not. With this being an unusual name, fans were asking Kylie how to pronounce it — was it "AIR" or more like "R-E"?
Kylie cleared the confusion up, explaining that her son's name is pronounced "air" just like how we talk about the air we breathe.
Stormi and Aire are two quirky names that just seem to work together.
It's safe to say that fans assumed Kylie's son would have an unusual name, given their older child's name is Stormi.
Both baby names are nature-inspired and are uncommon enough that they're not wildly popular, but they're not the weirdest baby names we've heard. Plus, Stormi and Aire fit together well.
In the comment section, fans threw out suggestions for names that go well with Stormi or Aire, should Kylie choose to have more kids, like Thunder or Raini.
