Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans is no stranger to controversy, but this time she's not coming under fire for her parenting choices. She recently posted a video to her TikTok showing her and her family at the lake having a good time and making some chicken on the grill … but apparently, people are not happy about the way she did it, with some even accusing her cooking methods of being "unsanitary."

Jenelle, clad in a bikini, hit the grill.
"For everyone saying i didnt season my chicken, heres proof," she captioned the video. She can be seen holding a shrink-wrapped package of chicken wings.
"Today we're going to be making chicken wings at the river, caveman style," she teased.
Before she started cooking, she panned the camera around, showing her husband David Eason digging a ditch and the kids playing in the river.
She sipped an IPA to keep her company.
Beer in hand, she rips the package open and prepares her chicken. First she drizzles it with olive oil, and then she uses an "all purpose" Greek seasoning to give the meat some flavor. Reminding people to season both sides, she then begins placing the wings on a small grill.
She then shows off a "camping grill pack" that she claims comes in handy for outdoor cooking. You can then see David's hand turning the chicken wings over because they're starting to brown.
The camera pans to a can over the flame, surrounded by potatoes. Jenelle explains that her stepdaughter Marissa's braces were hurting so they were making soup for her.
The chicken looks pretty normal.
"Alright look, I know it looks burnt but it came out really good I promise," she says, showing off the finished product.
She rips a wing apart and begins eating it as a "taste test" to show viewers just how tasty the wings are. Her teenage son Jace even pops into the video to agree that his mom's cooking is good.
"So yeah, stuntin' is a habit, get like me!" she exclaims as the video ends.

Her family thinks the food is good, but commenters have some concerns.
Unsurprisingly, people wasted no time flooding her comment section with their opinions. There were a bunch of comments criticizing Jenelle's choice not to wash her chicken before she cooked it.
"You don’t clean the chicken?" one person wrote, while another added, "The chicken needs to be clean while ur at home n then placed a cooler to take with u."
Jenelle *did* do the right thing while preparing her chicken.
Contrary to what some people might believe, you don't have to wash your chicken before you cook it. It's actually safer to not wash it!
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has warned that people should not wash their chicken before cooking it because it's not only unnecessary, but could make things even more unsanitary in the kitchen.
"Washing can spread germs from the chicken to other food or utensils in the kitchen," it tweeted in 2019. Instead, the CDC advised, "kill germs by cooking chicken thoroughly, not washing it."
That's one debate settled!
