When Donald Trump visited the immigration detention camp in the Everglades, nicknamed “Alligator Alcatraz,” on July 1, 2025, he was joined by several other politicians and members of the media. One of the latter was reporter Brian Glenn, known for the news network Real America’s Voice, per HuffPost. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was also present, as the center is in his home state, and in an uncomfortable and probably unnecessary exchange, Trump asked DeSantis what he thinks it’s like to date US Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene – in front of her boyfriend, Glenn.
We don’t even have to get into why it’s necessary to have so-called locker room talk out in the public among politicians, let alone at the opening of a controversial detention center with dozens of people protesting in front of it. The idea of Trump doing a little figurative nudge-nudge-wink-wink with DeSantis in front of Greene’s boyfriend is enough to make people gag. Well, gag over the internet, anyway.

Marjorie Taylor Green is dating far-right reporter Brian Glenn.
In a clip shared across social media and by HuffPost, Trump introduces Glenn to DeSantis and lets the governor know that Glenn is dating Greene. He then asks DeSantis, “Do you think it’s easy being with Marjorie?” He also takes it upon himself to note that Glenn is “very lucky” to be with the Georgia representative, because of course he does.
Greene later shared a video of the exchange on X (formerly Twitter) and added a smiling emoji surrounded by hearts. Apparently, she liked being the center of the conversation among the men, including her boyfriend. But some others aren’t so sure it’s something to be proud of, as evidenced by their comments under Greene’s X post.
“I’m not sure that’s the compliment you think it is,” someone commented.
Someone else wrote a much more scathing review of not only the exchange but of Greene and Glenn’s relationship as a whole.
“This is what happens when your political ideology is a reality show and your love life is a PR stunt,” the person commented in the X thread. “Marjorie posts like she’s 14 and just got her first text from a youth pastor with a truck, while Brian’s out here doing the soft launch of his final mental breakdown, one MAGA hat at a time.”
According to Newsweek, Greene and Glenn began dating in early 2023. Despite their lovey-dovey comments about each other publicly, to some of their harshest critics, their romance is marred by rumors of Greene being unfaithful to her now-ex-husband before she even started a relationship with Glenn.
Someone shared as much on X when they posted a particularly candid-looking photo of Glenn, slouched and frowning.
“Meet Marjorie Taylor Greene’s boyfriend, Brian Glenn,” the person wrote on X. “That’s the look of a bloated alcoholic. MTG, cheated on her first husband, and was banging her personal trainer while married. #FamilyValues.”
Well, there you have it. Despite some people being a bit outraged about Trump bringing up someone’s girlfriend in front of her and talking to another man about “what it’s like” to date her, apparently, Greene and Glenn have put themselves in this position. And, judging by social media, Greene loves the attention – for whatever reason.
