Lori Vallow Daybell Sends Message to Adult Son Who Clapped Back & Said They Will Never Speak Again

In 2023, a judge sentenced Lori Vallow Daybell to life in prison for the murders of her children, 7-year-old Joshua Jaxon “J.J.” Vallow, and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan. Her husband, Chad Daybell, was also convicted. The pair, known as the Doomsday Killers, claimed they were heavily influenced by their religious convictions. Vallow Daybell reportedly considered her children zombies and believed they needed to die. Colby Ryan, Vallow Daybell’s only surviving child, is now a grown man with a family. He recently appeared at CrimeCon 2025, where his mother sent him a message.

Ryan participated in a panel discussion with journalist Nate Eaton, who said he’d been contacted by Vallow Daybell with a message for her son. Eaton shared he’d gotten permission from Ryan to read the message to the crowd.

“If you talk to Colby, please tell him that ‘I love you very much, no matter what,’” Vallow Daybell shared through Eaton. “You can ask him about verse Matthew 25.”

“Any idea what that scripture reference means?” Eaton asked Ryan.

“It’s her trying to talk about the wicked and the good being sifted apart, basically. So it’s her way of trying to say she is still good and, basically, godly,” Ryan responded.

Eaton then asked if the man had any interest in ever speaking to his mother again, and he simply answered, “No.”

Seeing Vallow Daybell try to connect with her son infuriated many people online. They shared their frustration on social media.

“Colby is quite possibly one of the strongest humans ever with all what he has had to face. Can’t believe she’s still trying to get some attention. A true narcissist,” an X user shared.

Others condemned Eaton for delivering the message to Ryan. “My heart hurts for Colby being put in this situation. I wish Nate would stop fueling Lori by communicating with her,” someone else wrote. “It’s time to be over her and let Colby heal.”

Vallow Daybell currently resides in Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center in Idaho.
