This ‘Bad Guy Indicator’ Might Be Too Accurate for White American Men

Remember when you could spot a totally cringy red flag of a guy by how many Ed Hardy T-shirts he had in his closet? Another indicator was also if he had a Tapout muscle shirt of literally any kind. Now, you can spot a “bad guy” by a specific shirt he might wear to signify where he lands on the political spectrum — at least according to one user on TikTok.

The TikToker, whose name is Doogie, explains in his video how to spot the “bad guy indicator” on some white American men, and it’s too real. For some of us, it might be simple enough to spot the bright red hat in a sea of people and know how far to steer clear of that individual. For others, it might be any US flag on their clothing at all in the current political climate. But according to Doogie, it’s a very specific American flag on a shirt.

A very specific style of shirt indicates who a bad guy is in Trump’s America.

Doogie says in his video that a “bad guy indicator” to him is a man having a “monochrome American flag” on the sleeve of his T-shirt. He goes on to explain, “It’s the universal sign for being a bad person.” He then speculates on whether or not it’s just a fashion trend right now “within the bad guy community.”

Hey, that’s totally possible.

“Whenever I see that monochrome American flag on somebody’s shirt, I know whatever they’re about to say is probably gonna be not good,” Doogie says. “I’m assuming it’s a brand because it’s usually a shirt that says something ‘liberty’ or ‘1776.’ You know the type. I don’t need to spell it out for you I guess.”

Other users commented on Doogie’s post to share his sentiment when it comes to the T-shirt that we can all picture by that description of the monochrome US flag.

One user wrote, “Honestly I avoid anyone willingly wearing the American flag at this point.”

Another person shared, “As a woman it says run. It says this man will hurt you.”

Some also commented to say that they believe people who wear these types of shirts are a red flag, and one even wrote, “It’s like the Ed Hardy of the alt-right.”

See, what did I say about Ed Hardy? Totally a thing.

According to the comments, there are other ways to spot a walking red flag bad guy by the way he is dressed. These include shirts with guns or Bible verses on them, and anything with a tactical gear vibe to it.

Doogie also says in the video that, if the shirts aren’t from the same designer, he likes the idea of “patriots drinking liberal tears” and then doing “patchwork” on their T-shirts to show how patriotic they are. And yes, Doogie is being 100% sarcastic.

He ends the video by challenging men in one of those specific T-shirts to record themselves doing a random act of kindness.
