Prince George, Princess Charlotte, & Prince Louis Reportedly Set for First U.S. Visit in 2026

Prince William and Kate Middleton often travel around the British commonwealth — after all, it is part of their job. It’s far less often that they visit the United States, and when William does cross the pond, it’s usually by himself, without his family.

But in 2026, that might all change. According to a new report, Will and Kate have been busy planning their kids’ first trip to America, all for a sporting event that they feel their family just can’t miss.

The Wales family is reportedly putting plans in place to attend the World Cup.

This week, a source told The Sun that William is hoping that he and the whole family will be able to make the trip to Los Angeles in 2026 for the World Cup, especially since England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland have all qualified to compete. At that point, it could definitely be considered a work trip, right?

He is reportedly so serious about it that plans are already being put into place. “Wills is planning to come to the U.S. and we have been told to prepare for what a trip would entail,” a World Cup source told the outlet. “Interactions between security services and U.K./U.S. intelligence teams are in progress.”

George, Charlotte, and Louis are known to be big soccer fans.

It makes sense that William would want to bring the kids over for such a huge soccer event — they’re known to be big fans, and they’ve accompanied their dad to matches in the past.

Back in 2022, William even described daughter Princess Charlotte as a “budding” soccer star.

“Charlotte wanted me to tell you that she is really good at goal,” William said when he met England’s women’s soccer team, the Lionesses. “She said, ‘Please tell them that.’ She’s a budding star for the future.”

This could cause an awkward run-in with Prince Harry, though.

At the same time, The Sun reported that William’s estranged brother, Prince Harry, is also hoping to attend the World Cup, and considering that they’ve barely spoken for years at this point, that could make for a bit of an awkward situation … or maybe, it could even be the push these two need to start the process of healing their relationship, especially with the kids around to help break the ice.

The World Cup is set to begin in June, so it could be a while before we find out what’s happening for sure. But how cool would it be to see Will, Kate, and the kids stateside?
