Sarah Paulson and Kim Kardashian got to know each other better while filming their Hulu drama, All’s Fair, and now, a moment that unfolded in front of the paparazzi while they were promoting the show is going viral all over again. In the footage, Sarah’s reaching out to slap Kim’s butt, and people have a lot of feelings about her choice to do that in front of the cameras.
The video from October 2025 is making the rounds on social media again.

The incident first took place last October, when TMZ reported that Sarah and Kim joined the cast of All’s Fair for the premiere at The Whitby Hotel in New York City. As paparazzi flash bulbs are going off all around them, Sarah takes the opportunity to slap Kim’s butt multiple times.
Kim didn’t seem offended at all, though — in fact, she was laughing and even held Sarah’s hand before they walked back inside the hotel.
Not everyone thought it was an appropriate move to make in public.
Judging by the responses to the video on X, there were plenty of people who thought that it was inappropriate for Sarah to go for the butt slap when so many cameras were around, even if she was just playing around, while some thought it was a total non-issue.
“Women do this to each other all the time,” one person replied. “Y’all post anything.”
Others thought it was a sign of the friendship between Sarah and Kim, with one person writing, “They play too much! Love them together. Kim genuinely laughs around her!”
It seems like Sarah and Kim have a pretty playful relationship.
In an interview with People in November, Sarah copped to an embarrassing moment that ended with her accidentally spitting food in Kim’s eye.
“I had to say some really scandalous things in Kim’s face. I did at one time spit a potato chip on her,” she said. “I was in her face screaming, and it was like, ‘Bing!’ I saw it go in her eye.”
In the same interview, costar Glenn Close said that “Sarah and Kim sometimes could not look at each other without laughing,” while they were filming the show, and that makes the scandalous butt-slapping clip make even more sense.
