When Karoline Leavitt announced that she was pregnant with her second child, trolls lit up her social media comments. So after photos were posted from her baby shower, it only made sense for her haters to come for her hard. One of her guests, former Department of Government Efficient advisor Katie Miller shared some photos on X (formerly Twitter). It was in that space that people popped off to criticize Leavitt and her party guests.
One X user called the ladies “Nuremberg women.” This is, of course, in reference to the Nuremberg trials of 1945 and 1946. During this time, trials were held against Nazi leaders. They were named after Nuremberg, a city in Germany where the trials were held at the time. The belief among Donald Trump critics is that his time will come for similar trials and that people like Leavitt will also be brought to justice, this the handy nickname.

Two of Leavitt’s guests at her baby shower, per the X post, were Miller and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi. The latter is probably expected, especially given how close both Bondi and Leavitt are to Trump. But when the photos were shared to X, users who absolutely cannot stand Leavitt and Bondi replied to the post with the snarkiest comments they could muster. You know, as one does.
“A war. Death. Rising prices and misery. Let’s post some pictures of the administration having a big ‘ol party,” someone posted in response to the baby shower photos. “Just tone deaf leadership. Have the party by all means. But keep it quiet.”
“We are at war and the AG of the United States is at this stupid baby shower,” another wrote.
Someone else couldn’t help but poke fun at Leavitt’s age gap with her husband. They wrote, “Was the baby born 40 years old? You know, the age gap between her and her husband.”
The color palette for the baby shower was, apparently, pastels, with Springtime being the theme. That’s all well and good, but there is just too much going on in the United States and because of the U.S. for everyone to drop everything and care about the impending birth of a stranger’s baby.
“When you are pregnant, you should be the humblest person alive,” another person noted on X. “This lady is a hypocrite and worships Trump. GOD IS NOT PLEASED!!”
As for who was not in attendance? Apparently, neither Usha Vance nor Melania Trump were there to celebrate.
People blasted Karoline Leavitt for not having friends outside of the White House.
Even with no Vance or Melania at Leavitt’s baby shower bash, she had plenty of friends in high places to help her celebrate the impending arrival of her baby girl. But for Leavitt’s critics, and those who just straight up loathe her, the fact that some of her close friends are connected to the White House is another reason to troll her.
“I’m not surprised that none of you have friends outside of the administration,” one user commented in reference to this.
Others commented to bash Bondi and Miller and claim they protect Trump at all costs. Because Leavitt also has a close personal relationship to Trump, and some of her close friends happen to be part of the Trump Administration, some think her circle can’t be trusted.
Others think it’s “ironic” that Karoline Leavitt is having a girl.
It’s also not lost on people that Leavitt is having a daughter for the first time. Someone wrote in response to the X post that it’s “ironic” that Leavitt is having a daughter, given the climate in the U.S. when it comes to women and women’s rights. The SAVE Act alone, which Trump and Leavitt pushed for, was a clear way to make it hard for women to vote and make their voices heard.
An emphasis put on anti-abortion and a lack of birth control has also been a big part of Trump’s second term, according to the organization Common Cause. So for Leavitt to have a daughter now, it’s just full of the kind of irony that people can’t help but notice, even if it goes over her head.
