After molestation charges against Joseph Duggar were filed, it seems like there are a lot of moving parts and never-ending drama within this family — which, to be honest, we’re not at all surprised about. After speculation that Kendra’s parents, Paul and Christina Caldwell were low on funds after being kicked out of their daughter’s house, so they needed to sell an old car, there’s been continuous chatter about where they stand with their daughter and son-in-law. Well, after a supposed friend posted to Instagram to share that her family drove 14 hours to help the Caldwells during their difficult time, we have learned some valuable information!
An alleged friend of Christina Caldwell took to Instagram to share that her family stepped up to do the “Christian” thing.
Apparently when you’re someone who has been called to be “the hands and feet of Jesus,” you just have to post about it on social media for all to see!
Entering the Duggar chat and all its drama is a mother of seven and “Child of God” — according to her Instagram — named Amy Paul. On April 13, 2026, she shared a photo on her Instagram featuring herself and Christina Caldwell in a cozy pose with two of their girls. What was most interesting though was the lengthy caption she included.
She starts out by divulging that she drove 14 hours to help the Caldwells because she was “appalled at the lack of Christian charity being shown to this precious family that is in crisis.” Well, that sounds mighty big of you, Amy.
Amy acknowledges that the Caldwells were put “in the awful situation of turning their son-in-law into the police because he wasn’t man enough to take accountability himself.” Wow. She is going there! She also confirmed that Joseph Duggar is “kicking them out of their house and giving them 30 days to get out.”

In the caption of her Instagram post, Amy also shared that the power and water to the house the Caldwells were staying in that belonged to the Duggars was shut off. That all seems pretty darn cold considering there was 8 kids living in the house.
Amy also shared that while she was there, DHS was called on the family for abuse. She said in jest, “wonder who called?” That one’s actually a new low, considering Joseph’s charges.
It actually sounds in Amy’s post that she really feels for this family and what they’re going through. She clarified that “not one Duggar is reaching out to the Caldwells” and “not one Duggar is helping them move.”
She also couldn’t believe that people like Jimbob and Michelle Duggar, Joseph’s parents, who share grandchildren with the Caldwells, are possibly “throwing stones” rather than rallying around and supporting the victim.
Honestly, that’s a completely fair point.
It appears that Amy Paul has an odd connection to what’s happening with the Duggars.
Amy also shared on Instagram that she’s “praying for Kendra to choose her kids” and “leave the (alleged) pedophile and have a relationship with her family.”
Why was this message so important to include? She shared that she is “one year in the same scenario,” so “all [she] knew to do was love on Christina and her precious family.”
It turns out that Amy has been in a very similar situation, so she can fully relate to Christina Caldwell. According to a Reddit thread, Amy is the mother of Hayley Paul, who is married to a man named Carver Bowers, who is also allegedly a longtime Duggar family friend. Carver been indicted on two counts of sexual abuse of a child under 12 in Alabama.
Someone in the Reddit thread also shared that Amy Paul is allegedly estranged from her daughter because her family reportedly gave Carver’s name to CSA to report the sexual assault. There are so many similarities here. It’s kind of eerie.
Honestly, maybe Amy Paul and her family could be a great support system to the Caldwells during this difficult time. It never hurts to have a friend who’s willing to go that extra mile to help.
