What to Know
After Charlie Kirk died, Erika Kirk was quick to take the reins and speak to the public at various Turning Point USA events. She even got flack for it from people who were a little shook at her form of mourning her late husband. Now, though, people think that it was all part of Erika’s larger plan to…wait for it…run for president in 2028.
Hey, given the political landscape in the United States, it totally seems like something that could happen. And, per one post on X, there is evidence in what Erika has told the crowds who show up to see and hear her that hint at her eventual campaign. There are people who aren’t buying it, but others are very much in the camp of Erika running for the Republican ticket.
Erika Kirk’s public image is a big deal to her for a possible presidential run in 2028.

After Charlie died, Erika worked double time to make appearances, give interviews, and share her thoughts on the country as a whole. Now, according yo some, because of her speech at an Arizxona Turning Point USA event, she wants more than to be the CEO of Turning Point USA. She wants to run the country rather than her organization, and apparently, her speech hinted at that.
“You have people out there who are actively trying to tear this country apart,” she said. “They love to start fights, dividing us all against each other, spreading negativity, all to get clicks and influence the algorithm to maximize profits. Meanwhile, building is hard. Getting out the vote, talking to real people, spiritual revival, that’s actual work. That is actual work. And my husband Charlie gave his life for that work. And what gets built lasts for generations long after the noise has run out of oneliners. No one understands us better than President Trump.”
The user who shared the clip wrote, “Erika Kirk is running for President in 2028. That’s what all of this is about. This is a soft launch. That’s why this is important!!”
After that clip was shared on X, some agreed that Erika could have plans to run for president in 2028. At another point in her speech, she mentioned holding the “red wall,” or the states of Arizona, Nevada, and New Hampshire.
A user agreed, “Her running has been planned for a long time. Communist plans for centuries, Americans need to read books and study more history.”
Someone also wrote, in response to the post about the speculation of Erika running for president, “Lord help us if this Country has been dumbed down enough to fall for this grift! Haven’t we seen enough in the last 5/6 years to understand the mainstream narratives are not our friends! This is garbage.”
Another wrote, “What baffles me is how media trained she got in the shortest time of losing her husband.”
“They want to get us used to seeing her behind the presidential seal on the lectern,” a commenter also wrote.
She also praised Donald Trump.
During Erika’s speech at the event, she praised Trump and his work with the Iran conflict and with the country. Some took this to mean Erika is seeking, or has already gotten, his endorsement for a future presidential campaign. That may be getting a little ahead of this particular theory about Erika, but she did gas him up.
“We don’t get to just sit back and admire that win from 2024. We have to fight to protect it every day.,” Erika said. “That’s right. Every day. And Arizona is home for me. I was raised here. I fell in love here. I got married here. We’re raising our children here. And we’re not going to sit back and just watch this state or this country be torn to completely torn apart. Completely torn apart. We’re not going to watch that because they want this state. They want this state. And Turning Point Action will fight to defend it.”
She then spoke about midterm elections and mentioned Trump in a way that only Erika can. “Now we have to show up again with 80 to 90% voter turnout in the midterms and fortify the red wall for the next decade. That’s what we need to do,” she added. “No matter what they throw at him, he perseveres in the face of adversity because the mission is too important. Because this country is worth fighting for. And he is not alone in this fight. And we are blessed to be Americans and we are going to fight like it. And ladies and gentlemen, there is no one else I’d rather have on our side than President Donald J. Trump. God bless you guys.”
Some people don’t think a Republican candidate will win at all.
Even if (and that’s a big ‘if’) Erika were to run for president in 2028, not everyone thinks a Republican will take the win for the second time in a row after Trump won against Kamala Harris. Someone wrote on X, “Zero chance any republican wins 2028. The damage Trump has done gives them zero chance.”
The same user responded to someone else and wrote, “It’s a guarantee. His own party has started turning on him. Anyone who even wants to run should stay far away from his endorsement.”
So if Erika is after a Trump endorsement, it may not be the best time for that after all.
