Leaked Emails Show Anna Duggar Called Josh’s CSAM Conviction ‘Victimless’ & People Are Done With Her

When the leaked emails from Josh Duggar‘s time in county jail ahead of the start of his federal prison term made the rounds on social media, no one really expected Josh or Anna Duggar to come out looking like upstanding citizens. But they also couldn’t have expected that the emails would make them both look even worse than they already had to former 19 Kids and Counting fans.

In one email that was posted on Reddit, Anna wrote to Josh about his specific charges. And, although he was convicted on charges related to receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material, Anna seemed to think that he didn’t deserve to be incarcerated. Nope, according to Anna, Josh is too much of an upstanding tax paying husband and father to deserve prison time.

Anna questioned the justice system after Josh’s conviction.

In the email that was posted on Reddit, Anna told Josh that she doesn’t understand why he was sentenced for as long as he was. She also said that society needs more men like him outside of prison rather than behind bars. The irony.

“I can’t even wrap my mind around this system of ours,” she wrote. “What purpose does it serve to put a citizen away for that long, especially for a crime that was actually victimless????!!!????!??? We’re taking away a productive member of society, a business owner, a father, a husband, a taxpayer all when our society NEEDS these far more desperately than it needs more prisoners!!! Categorically, each of these is in far greater NEED. How can this even remotely be justified????”

As someone pointed out in the Reddit comments, “Every single time CSAM is viewed, that child is victimized all over again.”

A Redditor also pointed out, “AND it sends a very strong message to the viewers and purveyors of this horror to CONTINUE their crimes with OTHER children.”

People agreed that it’s hard to feel sorry for Anna now.

It’s not like people were still clamoring for Anna to dust off her bootstraps and leave Josh at this point. However, any people who were still holding out hope for her to do so probably turned their backs on her completely after seeing that email. In one comment on Reddit, someone wrote that Anna deserves the life she has, where she is dependent on Josh’s family and has no way to “escape” and gain any sort of freedom from the conservative religion they follow.

“I used to have some sympathy for young Anna, but I think that email killed even that bit of empathy from me,” another user commented. “Anna is absolute trash.”

Someone else added, “Because as much as her sympathizers want to make excuses for her, the uncomfortable truth is that she has all the maternal instincts of a quokka. She’d sacrifice all her young in order to breed again with that monster. We saw that when she left her children god knows where to keep Josh company when he was on house arrest and had a fresh newborn just in time for his federal trial.”

The details of Josh’s case are still disturbing

Just in case anyone forgot the details of Josh’s case and the content found on his hard drive, those who are quick to call out the Duggar family for all of its faults did not. Did Anna? If she didn’t, she apparently doesn’t see what’s wrong with her husband being convicted of being in possession of this material.

According to E! News, during a hearing for Josh’s trial in 2021, Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Gerald Faulkner testified about the content found that was linked to Josh. He said the files were “in the top five of the worst of the worst that I’ve ever had to examine.”
