No one can deny that Donald Trump is old. He’s older than any president has ever been at the time of his inauguration anyway, and for a guy who once made sport of criticizing Joe Biden for his own flubs related to his advanced age, Trump really has no leg to stand on. Or, in this case, to walk on. A user shared a video on X of the president walking down the steps from Air Force One and the guy takes forever to get to the bottom.
The user also juxtaposed the video with a shot of Barack Obama walking down the same steps. And yeah, it’s pretty embarrassing. Granted, Obama was younger than Trump during his two terms in office, but still. If Trump is the all powerful leader that millions of MAGA Americans follow without question, he certainly doesn’t look powerful on those steps.

In the video on X, Trump takes forever to walk down those steps. Maybe it’s because he’s so old, or maybe it’s because he just wants to be careful. But the internet isn’t here to give him the benefit of the doubt. Instead, it is here to mercilessly troll the president for one more thing that he would absolutely target someone for if they were in the position he is in during the video.
The user who posted the video on X wrote, while quoting text on the screen in the video “LOL… ‘It took Trump 4 Obamas to gingerly lumber down the stairs from Air Force One.'”
“Lol!!! He hates Obama for his limber legs,” someone wrote in response to the X post.
Another person shared an edited photo of Trump taking a motorized stair chair down the steps. At this point, that’s clearly what he needs.
Someone else pointed out, “Remember how he made fun of Joe [Biden] for taking the short stairs??”
An X user took it a step further when they wrote, “That is just one of the thousands of reasons Trump the pos hates Obama. President Obama is a national treasure. Trump is nothing but an old evil gangster dictator wannabe.”
“Trump will forever live in the shadow of Obama,” someone added. “One was a great president that was honored. While the village idiot is trying to put his name on everything like a dog because he hasn’t accomplished anything.”

Some other users came to Trump’s defense. They pointed out that, in the two videos in the post, the men are decades apart in years. But others haven’t forgotten the way Trump would publicly poke fun at Biden in his own advanced age while in office. So really, it can’t be avoided at this point. And maybe Trump is so slow on those stairs because he is the oldest inaugurated president ever.
Trump was 78 years and seven months old when he took office in 2025. Biden, on the other hand, was a few months younger when he was inaugurated in 2021. As far as the oldest sitting president, Trump is expected to match Biden’s record. Biden was 82 when he left the White House. Trump will be 82 as well when he leaves office for the second time.

While some users on X had a fine time just making fun of Trump versus Obama, others made jokes about why Trump had a hard time with the Air Force One stairs. According to some, it was because of his alleged diaper. Yes, people are still claiming that Trump wears adult diapers to help with fecal accidents, though that has never been confirmed.
When comparing the men in the videos, a user on X wrote, “Obama wasn’t carrying six pounds of wet s–t in a diaper, to be fair.”
“Those oversized Depends might make it hard to walk up and down steps,” another commented.
Someone else chimed in with, “Can’t walk with a full diaper can you?”
