Jenny Mollen Gets Called Out for ‘Inappropriate’ Photoshoot With Her Son

Well, this is definitely a weird way for a mother to describe her relationship with her son. Actress Jenny Mollen is coming under fire after she shared a strange Instagram post about her 12-year-old son, Sid, where she was laying on top of him and calling him “toxic.” It’s giving major boy-mom-without-boundaries vibes, and out of more than 1,200 comments on her post, most of them are pointing out just how “inappropriate” this whole thing is. Especially since this isn’t the first time she’s ended up in an awkward situation like this…

The post shows Jenny in a pose with her son that is raising a lot of eyebrows — and the caption isn’t much better.

Jenny’s post went live on May 25, but it’s still getting more and more attention. It shows Jenny laying on top of Sid on a bed with both of their faces hidden. Some people aren’t huge fans of the pose itself, but it was the caption on the post that really gave her followers pause.

According to our followers, Jenny originally wrote, “your eldest son will be the most toxic guy you ever date.”

Obviously, it was a joke about how fickle preteens can be (especially when they hit the age where Mom really becomes embarrassing) but it most definitely didn’t land.

People are pretty horrified by the post, and they’re not afraid to say so.

“I have 5 boys ages 11-2. We cuddle, we snuggle and wrestle. They love to cuddle mom. Do we lay like this? HELL no,” a fellow mom wrote. “Do I make references to dating them? Absolutely not. Wtf even is that. This is why people say boy moms are weird.”

Some commenters were even calling for CPS to get involved — it was that serious.

“Hugging your kids: Healthy and encouraged. Calling your child your boyfriend and posting photos of you lying between their legs on a bed: Not healthy or encouraged,” another commenter wrote. “Your child is not your boyfriend. A boyfriend is a romantic partner.”

Jenny ended up deleting the caption on her post.

The comments became so critical that Jenny, who has always been known for her offbeat comedy, deleted the caption of her post altogether. She’s not about to apologize, though — in fact, she did the opposite by doubling down. When one commenter asked her what the caption originally said, Jenny replied, ““I said your eldest will be the most toxic bf you ever have. I stand by this!”

But according to what a source close to Jenny told People, there were no weird intentions behind her post.

“The picture is nothing more than a mother hugging her 12 year-old son,” the source said. “Anyone inferring anything else should be ashamed of themselves.”

Sure, but maybe Jenny should think twice about how posts like this are going to be perceived next time?
