Prince Harry Is Still ‘Approaching Life Like a Royal’ & Meghan Has Finally Had Enough

It’s been more than six years since Prince Harry walked away from royal life indefinitely, and apparently, his wife is starting to get really antsy about the fact that he still doesn’t have a job. A source close to the couple claims that Meghan Markle is fed up with her husband not equally sharing the “financial burden” required to keep their lives going, and she’s ready for Harry to get off his royal butt and do something about it.

Meghan and Harry reportedly had a conversation about his lack of contribution to their family’s finances.

A source told entertainment journalist Rob Shuter’s blog Naughty But Nice that the whole breadwinner thing is getting old to Meghan, who has been pretty busy hustling for her career, between her As Ever brand and her stint on Netflix.

It sounds like she’s tired of balancing it all on her own, and she’s ready for Harry to start contributing.

“Meghan finally told Harry he needs to step up financially,” the source said. “She’s driving the business deals, managing the brand, and thinking about the future. She’s tired of feeling like the only one focused on keeping the money flowing.”

Harry’s still living like he’s a royal, but he’s not.

Considering the fact that he grew up in the family, the whole “worrying about bills getting paid” thing is new to him, and another source claimed that he still hasn’t gotten used to that mindset and “still approaches life like a royal.”

“He wants purpose-driven work, while Meghan is looking at the numbers and asking how everything gets paid for,” they said.

Unfortunately, most people who have to work for a living don’t get to be too choosy about following their dreams and passions when they have a family to feed, and that’s a totally new reality for Harry — one that isn’t foreign to Meghan, who had a much more “normal” upbringing.

One of the sources added, “Meghan didn’t sign up to carry the financial burden forever. She wants a partner who shares the responsibility and helps build the next chapter financially.”

It sounds like that’s going to require a major change on Harry’s part.

Something needs to change.

It doesn’t sound like this issue is something that’s going to make or break Harry and Meghan’s marriage, so as far as what Rob’s sources have shared, there’s no risk of divorce (at least, not over their finances). But still, that doesn’t mean it’s fair that Meghan’s shouldering the burden alone.

“They love each other deeply. This isn’t about divorce or separation. It’s about Meghan pushing Harry to adapt to a world where they can’t rely on royal status or inherited wealth forever,” an insider said.

Harry may be new to the working class, but Meghan can show him how it’s done. If he wanted to live the royal life, he should have stayed in the UK.
