Someone needs to tell the Trump family that when you post a cringe video on the internet, it lives on forever. Especially if you never take it down. One user on X shared an old clip of Donald Trump Jr. and his daughter Kai Trump that the user said they can’t help but think of every time they see Kai. It’s from the Republican National Convention in 2024 and in it, Don Jr. absolutely calls his teenage daughter “Sexy.”
Here’s the kicker, though. The video is still up on Don Jr.’s TikTok account. Apparently, he sees nothing wrong with not only posting the video, but also referring to his daughter with that word, of all words. He could call her beautiful, or pretty, or any number of adjectives to get his point across. But nope, sexy it is, and the resurfaced video isn’t going anywhere, it seems.

In the video, Don Jr. and Kai are getting ready for the RNC, they sit side by side in makeup chairs as they have their hair styled professionally. Don Jr. has his phone in his hand as he films them both. OK great, father/daughter moment caught in 4K to remember it forever, sure, perfect. But then, he opens his mouth and speaks.
“Kai, what do you think?” Don Jr. says. “Getting makeup [to] make me look sexy like you?”
Kai then says, “I think you look very beautiful.”
To that, Don Jr. says, “Thank you Kai, I’m glad you think I look very beautiful. I don’t do this often, but in HD, you better do it.”
That last bit is in clear reference to getting makeup on his face before he appears before cameras at the RNC, but did he think no one would immediately notice him using the word “sexy” to describe his daughter? Apparently, he thought it was totally fine, because years after the video was posted, Don Jr. has not taken it down.
No one thinks it was a good idea for Don Jr. to say that.
In the comments under the TikTok, other users made sure to let Don Jr. know how they feel about his “sexy” comment. Maybe he meant it as a joke to poke fun at himself getting makeup applied, like his daughter is in the same video. But it was just the wrong move all around.
One user wrote, “So actually we don’t wanna be calling our daughters sexy, hope this helps.”
“Please say he didn’t say that!” Another wrote. “That’s a strange thing to say to your teenage daughter.”
Someone also pointed out, “And he just posted that as if it’s normal.”
“I’ve replayed this about 100 times to try and convince myself I must be mishearing what he said,” a user added. Play it as many times as you need to, but it will still be the same uncomfy comment that Don Jr. made about his daughter.
Donald Trump has made plenty of comments about Ivanka Trump’s body.
Maybe this is one of those like father/like son moments. Because, as many might remember, Donald Trump himself has spoken about oldest daughter Ivanka Trump in a pretty icky way over the years. There was that time he appeared on The Howard Stern Show in 2006.
“She’s actually always been very voluptuous,” Trump said at the time. “She’s tall, she’s almost 6 feet tall and she’s been, she’s an amazing beauty.”
During another interview with Howard Stern, Trump agreed that his daughter is a “piece of ass.”
In a 2015 interview with Rolling Stone, Trump said, of Ivanka, “Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father…”
