Alix Earle’s Super Bowl Controversy Has People Torn on Her Political Affiliation

After weeks of speculation about who Bad Bunny would bring to perform with him for the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, he featured a who’s who of celebrities with Latino roots in one of the many sets on the football field. The casita set, which showed a party on a front porch, featured stars like Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba, Cardi B, and others. But when I say “others” I also mean influencer Alix Earle, and not many people understand why she of all people was there.

In a sea of individuals who have Latino roots in some way, Alix was right there on the porch facade, dancing and having a good time. But since she doesn’t have Latino roots that anyone knows of and she does allegedly have ties to MAGA, Alix finds herself at the center of controversy explained in various TikTok videos.

People are saying Alix Earle is MAGA.

In one TikTok, a user explains that the issue people have with Alix at the halftime show isn’t even necessarily that she is a white woman who is not Latino in any way. Instead, it’s that she is rumored to have toes to MAGA. You know, Donald Trump, his close personal politician friends, general right-wing weirdos, and everything in between.

The user shared screenshots of who Alix allegedly follows, or at least followed at one point. Who is it, you ask? Why, none other than the first daughter herself, Ivanka Trump. The user also shared a photo of Alix with Ivanka. The same user wrote in the caption that Alix’s attendance at the halftime show for Bad Bunny was “hypocritical,” given her alleged political affiliation.

Someone commented on that TikTok with, “I don’t get why Alix Earle is on that stage at all. She’s never advocated for the cause, and it feels less like presence with purpose and more like showing up for the camera and the clout. She is giving me awkwardly bopping her head…white girl wasted vibes.” Ope.

Some think the point of Alix Earle at the Super Bowl was missed on others.

Other users think that Alix’s presence signifies the very thing Bad Bunny seemed to promote during the halftime show: equality and acceptance for all. Meaning, despite who Alix does or doesn’t support politically, and despite her probably not having any Latino background, she is as welcome at the casita as anyone else.

Someone on TikTok explains in her video that Bad Bunny’s entire halftime show was dedicated to his heritage, from the workers in the sugar cane fields to the party at the casita. So what was Alix’s place in all this? While some think it should have been on the outskirts, like not on the field at all, others think the point of Bad Bunny’s show was to bring people together. Yes, even Alix, a potential MAGA sympathizer.

“Isn’t the whole point to not be so divided and love one another despite race?” Someone commented on the TikTok.

Another user wrote, “As a Puerto Rican, people are not getting it. It means ANYONE is welcomed to the party.”

And, someone else added, “So he invited her and she attended. His message was of coming together/love being stronger than hate, and somehow people are mad because not enough division was portrayed?”
