Britney Spears Cracks Windshield in 1st Public Sighting Since Court Battle With Dad Jamie

When Britney Spears was freed from an involuntary conservatorship in 2021, it marked the end of a battle the pop star fought since 2008. Her father, James "Jamie" Spears, and attorney Andrew M. Wallet served as conservators during all those years. However, the ongoing legal woes between Britney and her dad only officially ended when they recently settled the fight over legal fees.

In the wake of this decision, the "Stronger" singer was spotted publicly for the first time. She and Paul Richard Soliz, her former housekeeper and a convicted felon, were photographed together in an SUV. Unfortunately, Britney cracked the windshield during the paparazzi ambush.

In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Britney and Paul were spotted in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. The exes sat in a Mercedes SUV on the side of a road, according to the news outlet. As seen in the photos, Britney and Paul attempted to evade photographers by slouching down in the vehicle.

She reportedly cracked the windshield during the paparazzi encounter.

In the photos, Paul sat in the driver's seat while wearing a blue plaid button-up shirt and jeans. Britney donned a white top with jeans and tan heels. As paparazzi snapped pictures, she kicked up her heels onto the dashboard, inadvertently cracking the windshield in the process, the Daily Mail reported.

The sighting came after she was ordered to pay her father more than $2 million.

On April 26, attorneys for Britney and Jamie confirmed to People that the father and daughter had settled the legal fee dispute earlier that week. Sources later told TMZ that Britney agreed to pay Jamie more than $2 million. The dispute was originally filed in December 2021 concerning alleged financial misconduct.

Britney is reportedly 'furious' about the settlement.

After conceding to pay her father over $2 million in legal fees, Spears was not happy. In fact, the "Lucky" singer was reportedly "furious" with the settlement, sources told TMZ. Her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, reportedly had been confident that Britney had a strong case and assured the pop star she would win.

Recently, Britney shut down rumors that she and Paul were dating.

The pair reportedly had a short-lived fling before breaking things off in September 2023, per Us Weekly. In February, Britney declared in an Instagram post that she was a "hopeless romantic understanding that being single is awesome."
