Carrie Underwood Is Reportedly ‘Furious’ About How She Was Treated at Trump Inauguration

After coming under fire for her choice to perform at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration in the first place, Carrie Underwood is reportedly unhappy about the way the big moment played out. After a major audio fail took place, the country star was forced to sing a capella, and now, insiders are claiming she’s “furious” that the situation wasn’t handled better.

Carrie was set to perform ‘America the Beautiful.’

But as she walked out in front of the crowd, the music never started playing, leaving Carrie awkwardly standing there in silence for two full minutes before finally deciding to go ahead and sing without the backing track.

After her performance ended, Carrie was met with plenty of applause, but apparently, that wasn’t enough to leave her feeling happy about the way things went. According to what an insider told the Daily Mail, Carrie was actually “furious” at how the situation played out – something she doesn’t believe would have ever happened to a different artist.

She wasn’t offered a stage or platform to perform on.

That may have been because the inauguration was moved indoors at the last minute, but that fact doesn’t seem to do much about the negative taste left in Carrie’s mouth about the whole thing.

“Carrie was dissatisfied with her performance at the event, primarily due to the limited space she was given, which left her feeling cramped and uncomfortable,” the insider said.

She also reportedly felt shortchanged by the “level of respect” she received compared to what she’s seen Beyoncé and Lady Gaga receive in the past, and her “anxiety was high throughout the performance.”

This all led to Carrie having a “hissy fit” after her performance, according to the insider. Another source told the Daily Mail that Carrie felt like the “awkwardness” that preceded the performance led to her feeling that it “wasn’t what she wanted it to be.”

“She will eventually laugh about it and take it for what it was, but she is disappointed that it wasn’t more of a moment as the moment she was searching for got altered with the technical difficulties,” the second source said.

The person added, “Though it isn’t her day, and she just wanted to add to the day and not upstage anything, she was annoyed of how it turned out.”
