Cheryl Hines ditched her wedding ring while in Milan, just one day after news of her husband’s alleged affair broke. On September 19, it was reported that Robert F. Kennedy had formed a “personal relationship” with New York Magazine journalist Olivia Nuzzi. The actress, 59, was spotted on September 20 at a Milan Fashion Week afterparty. The photos, obtained by the Daily Mail, show her without the rock decorating her ring finger.

RFK was also absent from her birthday festivities.
Cheryl celebrated her 59th birthday on September 21. She documented her festivities on her Instagram Stories, and RFK Jr was noticeably absent. Instead, she spent time with daughter Catherine Young and stepdaughter Kyra Kennedy.
Fans commented on Cheryl being seen without her ring.
“Come on Cheryl…you’re better than this. Stay far away from these people!” one person wrote. “NEVER marry a Kennedy,” another person commented, with others adding that cheating “runs in their blood.”

Olivia Nuzzi was put on leave.
Olivia was put on leave from the magazine following her claims that she and RFK Jr had formed a “personal” relationship. “The relationship was never physical but should have been disclosed to prevent the appearance of a conflict,” she said. “I deeply regret not doing so immediately and apologize to those I’ve disappointed, especially my colleagues at New York.”
RFK Jr responded.
A representative for RFK Jr denies there was ever a relationship formed. “Mr. Kennedy only met Olivia Nuzzi once in his life for an interview she requested, which yielded a hit piece,” the representative said, per The Washington Post.
New York Magazine released a letter after placing Olivia on leave.
New York Magazine released a note to its readers following the decision to place Olivia on leave. “Had the magazine been aware of this relationship, she would not have continued to cover the presidential campaign,” it read in part. “An internal review of her published work has found no inaccuracies nor evidence of bias. She is currently on leave from the magazine, and the magazine is conducting a more thorough third-party review. We regret this violation of our readers’ trust.”
