David Beckham Accidentally Reveals Photo of Queen Elizabeth Hanging in His Home

It’s been more than two years since Queen Elizabeth’s death, but one celebrity is keeping her memory alive in an unexpected way. While sharing a totally unrelated video on his Instagram, David Beckham revealed that there’s a photo of the late queen hanging up on a wall in his home, and so far, his followers who have spotted the portrait are loving it.

David was actually posting about Elf on the Shelf.

In the video, he was filming the chaos taking place in his office, thanks to the mischievous little guys.

“I know it’s early morning, I’ve literally just walked into the office. Normally my office is actually quite tidy, something has gone on during the night,” he said, showing several elves scattered on his shelf who were making a mess with some tinsel.

In the background, a portrait of Queen Elizabeth can be seen.

It was only shown for a second, so it’s very easy to miss, but that framed portrait is definitely Queen Elizabeth — though at a much younger age than the way we remember her. It’s actually kind of sweet to see he’s keeping this photo of her up in his office, even after she’s gone.

Those who spotted the portrait loved it.

In the comments of David’s post, one of his followers wrote, “The Queen on the wall. I’m in my 80s and still to this day, I have a photo of the queen hanging up.”

“But the portrait of the queen!” another commenter pointed out.

David has always had great respect for the late queen.

After her death in 2022, David shared an emotional tribute to the monarch on Instagram, admitting that he was “truly saddened” she was gone:

“What an outpouring of love and respect we saw for the Platinum Jubilee for her life of service. How devastated we all feel today shows what she has meant to people in this country and around the world. How much she inspired us with her leadership. How she comforted us when times were tough. Until her last days she served her country with dignity and grace. This year she would have known how loved she was.”

David traveled to Westminster Hall to pay his respects after she died.

He even waited more than 12 hours to say goodbye to her when she was lying in state at Westminster Hall, as he told reporters (via CNN).

“We all want to be here together, we all want to experience something where we celebrate the amazing life of our Queen,” he said. “You know something like this today is meant to be shared together. So, you know the fact that we’ve been here. We’re eating Pringles. We’re eating Sherbet Lemons, sandwiches and coffee.”
