Trinity Rodman Says She’s ‘Done’ After Her Dad Dennis Rodman Shares Public Apology

Trinity Rodman says she’s “done” after her dad publicly apologized to her. Dennis Rodman’s apology, which he shared on social media on December 19, came just a day after Trinity spoke about him on the Call Her Daddy podcast, saying that her former NBA player father only qualified as a dad “maybe by blood, but nothing else.” But even if her dad is sorry, it doesn’t sound like Trinity, a professional soccer player, has any plans to forgive him.

Trinity opened up about her relationship with Dennis.

While on the podcast, Trinity said she and her brother, DJ, “have been very generous with the way that we’ve talked about” Dennis. “I think we never want to make him look bad, and that is at the cost of holding in a lot, and a lot of issues we’ve gone through and just like, trauma, per se,” she said. Once her mom, Michelle Moyer, and Dennis were no longer together, Trinity and her brother saw their dad “once, two, three, four times a year.”

“My mom was really good at making every situation seem smoother than it actually was, and I think that’s what parents do to protect their children, but I think even being young, it was like he partied all the time,” Trinity said. “We tried to live with him, but he’s having parties 24/7, he’s bringing random b—-es in.”

Dennis apologized on Instagram.

The day after the podcast episode came out, Dennis shared an apology on Instagram. “Sorry I wasn’t the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still Try and Never will Stop,” Dennis wrote. “I will keep Trying even when you’re being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try even when it’s difficult and if it takes a long time.”

“I’m always here And tell you all the time rather it’s your voice or voicemail how proud I am. I always had one wish and it was I wish my kids would call me and come see me,” he continued. “Hopefully one day I can get that.”

Trinity reacted to the apology on her Instagram Stories.

Trinity didn’t seem impressed by Dennis’ public apology. On December 19, she shared a post about it via her Instagram Stories, writing, “A joke. The response alone. And the attention. Wiping my hands with it. I’m done. Thank you.”

While on the podcast, she described a time when he showed up at one of her games for attention.

In 2021, Dennis showed up at a Washington Spirit game. Trinity didn’t know he would be there, which made her emotional. “The whistle blew and I was so mad, like, ‘You took this happy moment from me. You f—ed with my head again,'” she said on Call Her Daddy. Her dad seemingly only attended the game for publicity, she concluded.

“I think after that was when I lost hope of ever getting him back. It was just like, he’s popping in whenever he’s going to be on a camera,” she said. “Even at that game, I don’t think it was for me, I think he wanted to have a good conscience and then be like, ‘Headline, Dennis Rodman showed up to his daughter’s game.'”

In his post, Dennis wrote that he watches Trinity's games 'all the time.'

In his apology, he claimed that on one occasion, he “flew in” to watch one of her games, but “was told not to show up” because of who he was with at the time. Instead, he watched from the hotel balcony, telling Trinity that he was “just wanting to support you.”

“I love All My Kids,” he concluded in his post.
