Emily Ratajkowski Calls Blue Origin Space Flight With Katy Perry ‘Beyond Parody’

Now that the passengers of Blue Origin’s highly anticipated space excursion are back on the ground, Emily Ratajkowski is sharing her thoughts on the famous flight. In a TikTok video that she shared on Monday, the mom and model slammed the flight that took notable public figures like Katy Perry and Gayle King up to experience just a few minutes in space, calling out the company for damaging the Earth.

The widely talked about flight launched on Monday morning.

Jeff Bezos’ company Blue Origin sent up an all-female flight on April 14, 2025 – a mission that turned out to take about 11 minutes round trip. Katy and Gayle were also joined in the capsule by Jeff’s fiancée, Lauren Sánchez.

Judging by the coverage of the flight and the social media posts shared by those who took part in it after they returned safely to earth, it seems like it was a pretty life-changing experience. But not everyone believes this flight should have happened.

Emily took to TikTok to share her thoughts on the Blue Origin flight, and she did not hold back. Not only did she say she was “disgusted” by the spectacle, but she also called it “end-time s—.”

“Saying that you care about Mother Earth, and it’s about Mother Earth, and going up in a spaceship that is built and paid for by a company that’s single-handedly destroying the planet?” she shares in the video. “Look at the state of the world, and think about how many resources went into putting these women into space, and for what?”

Plenty of people agree with her.

Emily wasn’t met with much discord in the comments of her post – instead, it’s filled with the thoughts of those who totally agree with her.

“They acted like it was a win for feminism. The money used to send them to space could have been used to actually help women in so many ways,” one commenter wrote.

Another person added, “Nearly 14 million children in the US experience food insecurity every year. Fourteen MILLION children don’t know where their next meal is coming from, but yeah blue origin looks cool.”

The women who went to space are defending the flight.

After the flight, Gayle told People that “anybody that’s criticizing it doesn’t really understand what is happening here,” adding, “We can all speak to the response we’re getting from young women from young girls about what this represents.”

Lauren defended Blue Origin, too, telling the magazine, “I would love to have them come to Blue Origin and see the thousands of employees that don’t just work here but they put their heart and soul into this vehicle. They love their work and they love the mission and it’s a big deal for them.”
