'2012'

This epic disaster movie starring John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Amanda Peet, will make us all feel a bit better about 2020. In the film, a scientist warns major world leaders that the apocalypse is nearing, which is unknown to society at large. The plan? To save just a select few so that the human race will hopefully survive.
'Friends With Benefits'

Starring Justin Timberlake an Mila Kunis, Friends With Benefits is the 2011 film that illustrates the 2000s-era cultural shift of the same name that made it at least somewhat socially acceptable to fool around with friends, no strings attached. But really, it's just a fun rom-com to pass the time.
'Insidious'

Arguably one of the creepiest horror movies of our generation, Insidious has been on and off of Netflix every few months for the past year. It's returning again on April 1, so those who haven't seen it yet will have the chance to check it out, and movie lovers who just can't get enough will be able to get their supernatural fix.
'Legally Blonde'

Yasss! Who can ever get enough of Elle Woods? Reese Witherspoon is such a powerhouse in the entertainment industry these days, and we love to re-watch Legally Blonde every once in a while just to see her in what is certainly one of if not her most iconic roles of all time.
'The Pianist'

Actor Adrien Brody's performance in 2002's The Pianist, directed by Roman Polanski, earned him the Academy Award for best actor in a leading role, and deservingly so. The film is based on the true story of a Polish Jewish radio pianist and his experiences trying to survive throughout World War II.
'The Time Traveler's Wife'
Coming to Netflix: April 1
Based on the fantastic novel of the same name, The Time Traveler's Wife stars Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams. It's technically a science fiction movie, but really it's more of a romance. It's about a man who has a genetic disorder that causes him to randomly travel through time. Eventually he meets the love of his life, but their relationship is doomed thanks to his inability for him to control his time jumping.
'Yes Man'
Coming to Netflix: April 1
Starring comedian Jim Carrey, Yes Man is a 2008 film about a man who challenges himself to stop saying "no" in the hopes of transforming his ho-hum life into something more fulfilling. He achieves exactly that, but eventually realizes that there should be balance with everything in life.
'Concrete Cowboy'
Coming to Netflix: April 2
This much-anticipated film starring Idris Elba is finally arriving on Netflix on April 2, after ongoing production delays throughout 2020. It's the story of a teenager who is sent to live in Philadelphia with a father he barely knows and finds himself engrossed in a community of Black urban cowboys.
'Escape From Planet Earth'
Coming to Netflix: April 3
A cute one to put on for the kids, 2012's Escape From Planet Earth is an animated film about an acclaimed astronaut from planet Baab who gets trapped when he responds to an emergency call from a dangerous alien planet, after ignoring the advice of his partner who must now save him.
'What Lies Below'
Coming to Netflix: April 4
Just released in 2020, What Lies Below is a sci-fi horror flick about a teenage girl who returns home from summer camp to find her mother has fallen in love and plans to get married. But something about the new man in her mom's life just isn't right, and she fears he may not be human.
'Family Reunion'
Coming to Netflix: April 5
Part three of the Netflix original comedy series Family Reunion, starring Tia Mowry, is arriving on the streaming service this April. For those who haven't seen it, it's about a family who moves from Seattle to Georgia to be closer to extended family. The third installment will be a full 10 episodes of family-friendly entertainment.
'Thunder Force'
Coming to Netflix: April 9
A new release, the Netflix original film Thunder Force, starring Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer, is sure to be a barrel of laughs. It's a superhero movie about two women who were once childhood friends, who come together once again to help protect their city from supervillains.
'The Stand In'
Coming to Netflix: April 10
Drew Barrymore brings her quirky self back to screens everywhere in 2020's comedy The Stand In, in which she plays opposite herself as an actress who hires her on-set stand-in to pose as her while she undergoes a year-long rehab sentence. Only the stand in has much bigger plans.
'Diana: The Interview That Shocked the World'
Coming to Netflix: April 11
Royal fanatics who have yet to see the documentary film, Diana: The Interview That Shocked the World, will be able to catch it on Netflix this April. It's of course a deep look into Princess Diana's now infamous tell-all interview with Panorama journalist Martin Bashir.
'Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn'
Coming to Netflix: April 12
The first four seasons of the Nickelodeon live-action series Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn will be available on Netflix on April 12. It's a popular comedy about quadruplets and all of the antics they get into as a result of their intense sibling rivalry. It's typical Nick fodder, but kids love it.
'Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!'
Coming to Netflix: 14
Acclaimed actor Jamie Foxx's new Netflix original series, Dad Stop Embarrassing Me! premieres on the streaming service this month. Jamie returns to his sit-com roots in the show, which is about a bachelor who suddenly finds himself in the role of single dad to a teenage daughter.
'The Circle'
Coming to Netflix: April 14
The first four episodes of the Netflix original reality competition, The Circle are set to drop mid-month. For those who haven't seen it, the show's contestants compete in a bid to become influencers. They rank each other based solely on impressions and interactions on a social media app called "The Circle," and the top-rated players are named "influencers" and ultimately have the power to get other contestants eliminated.
'Fast & Furious Spy Racers'
Coming to Netflix: April 16
This kid-friendly iteration of the Fast & Furious franchise is back for a fourth season. It's an animated series about a group of teenage street car racers who are recruited to go undercover as members or a criminal gang to help law enforcement bring them down.
'Stowaway'
Coming to Netflix: April 22
Starring Anna Kendrick, Daniel Dae Kim, and Toni Collette, Stowaway is a new Netflix original film. It's a sci-fi thriller about a crew of scientists on a mission to Mars who realize after their journey begins that they have a stowaway and all of their lives are in danger.
'Shadow and Bone'
Coming to Netflix: April 23
Said to be one of the most-anticipated Netflix originals of the year, the sci-fi/fantasy series Shadow and Bone will premiere at the end of April. It's about a mapmaker who has a power that could save her world, "the Grishaverse," from the ongoing war that threatens to destroy it.
