Fox News Segment Debating Politicians’ ‘Hotness Sparks Online Backlash

What does the panel on a Fox News show do when it’s a slow news day? Apparently, they play ‘hot or not’ about Democratic politicians. It’s all in a day’s work, and in a clip from a Fox News show that was shared on X, the hosts debate the hotness of politicians like Kamala Harris, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), and Gavin Newsom.

Just so we’re clear, a politician does not need to be conventionally hot or even attractive to win an election. Case in point…well, nevermind. Most people understand where I’m going with that one. But to suggest that a politician’s importance rests even slightly on how attractive they are is truly dystopian, to be honest.

The Fox News hosts actually spoke on if they think Kamala Harris is hot or not.

Jesse Watters brings up Harris at the start of the clip. He says that he doesn’t see the former vice president and presidential candidate as “hot,” but she is, to him, “OK.” Cool cool cool. He adds, “If we’re talking hot, she’s not hot.”

The entire clip is giving The Office episode where they debate the hotness of actress Hilary Swank. It also giving Saturday Night Live sketch, because how is this real life? There was nothing else the Fox News panel could discuss besides politicians and how good looking they are to the general public?

The good news, according to one user on X, is “Kamala Harris has zero f–ks to give about what these two disgusting creeps think of her.

The ticker at the bottom of the screen claims that “Democrats demand a thirst trap ticket in 2028.” Did an intern write that line? Did the newest Gen Z staffer come up with that? Either way, it seems like the hotness of politicians is the real debate in the media right now.

They mention Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez too.

In the same episode of the Fox News show, Gret Gutfeld brings up AOC. Watters says he isn’t going to “go there,” whatever that means. When the clip was posted on X, people who hadn’t seen it in real time responded to the post with questions about how it even passes for news.

“How is this a real discussion on a ‘news’ network?” One user asked.

Another user responded to them with, “Fox isn’t even close to news anymore lol, just a mouthpiece for Republicans.”

In regards to Watters, someone else commented, “Typical man move, judging a woman by the way she looks, Watters should be the last one to talk, with his bad manners and square shaped head. Kamala Harris has already reached heights that Watters can only dream of.”

“These guys make Idiocracy look like the happy timeline,” another user added, in reference to the movie with a society that is scary similar to some of what the U.S. is dealing with.

Gavin Newsom is also part of the ‘hot or not’ debate.

Gutfeld is the one who brings up Newsom. He jokes that he is hot himself, so he can successfully judge politicians on such matters. Alright, then.

“He’s like a six at best, let’s be honest,” Gutfeld says. “You can find a hot candidate, but who’s going to buy it? People aren’t attracted to ugly ideas. You know, hot people, speaking as one, I don’t want to protect criminals or butcher kids. Beautiful people like good ideas.”

It’s clear that the segment is pretty un-serious. But at a time when situations in the United States are as serious as they get, they should all probably read the room.
