Gwen Stefani Accused of Undergoing a MAGA Makeover & It’s Her Fans’ Least Favorite Look

There’s a lot that people say about the ‘Mar-a-Lago makeover’ and how those connected to Do all Trump change in appearance over time. That’s not exactly what happened with Gwen Stefani, but fans are calling her out for her ‘MAGA makeover’ on Instagram. Yes, this is the same Gwen who burst onto the music scene as the lead singer of No Doubt. But my, how things have changed over the years for the “Don’t Speak” singer.

From the way she talks, to what she talks about, to her general appearance, Gwen is basically a MAGA Barbie as far as some are concerned. Did she always have this person inside of her? Maybe, maybe not. But plenty of her fans who stuck with her through her many phases are here for the MAGA of it all.

Gwen Stefani fans aren’t impressed with her MAGA makeover.

Gwen posted an Instagram where she, once again, promotes the prayer app called Hallow. In the video, she talks about using the app for the first time and how, at first, it was strange for her to utilize it for prayer. But now, she is all for it. I mean, for whatever she is being paid to shill this app, I’m sure she’s definitely all for promoting it and talking it up. Because you can’t pray without an app that charges you for prayers, right?

But this persona of Gwen’s is one that her fans are not loving. They’ve been here for grunge Gwen, Harajuku pop princess Gwen, pin-up Gwen a la “Sweet Escape,” and some form of glam country Gwen. But MAGA Gwen, complete with white blonde hair, subdued clothes, and the endless promotion of prayer from an app that charges users for praying is just not it.

“I’m so disappointed in Gwen,” one fan, or, rather, a former fan, commented on her Instagram post. “I was a huge fan from the very beginning with No Doubt and then her solo career. But after all the stuff I’ve been reading about her alignment with MAGA and all the over the top ‘Christian’ stuff, I just can’t anymore.”

Someone else wrote, “Go away MAGA Stefani.”

Others shamed Gwen for selling the app, which she came under fire for before this.

“Gross, this is like Trump selling Bibles,” someone wrote. “This [is] like expensive bottled water. No one should be profiting off this. What a disappointment.”

People think she supports Trump because of her “pay to pray” prayer app.

Before Gwen promoted the Hallow app in time for Lent, which was also just so on the nose distasteful that it hardly felt real, she was criticized for supporting the app at all. In late 2025, Billboard reported that fans rallied against Gwen for promoting the app and encouraging her fans and social media followers to spend money on it.

The Hallow app operates on a subscription service. Some monthly plans cost around $8.99 per month, but can go up to $69.99 per month. Don’t worry, though, because there’s a family plan that will run you $119.99 per year. So just in case your kids weren’t getting into Heaven, as long as you pay for them on your plan, they too can pray with the app. The ’90s Gwen is rolling in her flannel-lined grave.
