Hailey Bieber Sends Cease & Desist to Influencer Who Claims Her Marriage to Justin Is ‘Abusive’

Now that the rumors that all is not well in Hailey and Justin Bieber‘s marriage, it sounds like the couple is ready to put a stop to them for once and for all. After a TikTok influencer claimed that Justin is suffering from a “drug addiction” that has led to his marriage with Hailey becoming “abusive,” the Biebers have had enough.

They’re so tired of the drama being stirred up by this particular person that they’ve even taken legal action, but the influencer really doesn’t seem to be taking this situation seriously at all.

In December, TikToker Julie Theis analyzed Hailey and Justin’s marriage in a video.

Julie, who has a degree in psychology, described their relationship as a prime example of one where the woman (in this case, Hailey) “tolerates mediocrity, abuse, doing the majority of domestic and emotional labor in exchange for being in a relationship.”

She went on to claim that Justin is an “addict.”

The couple sent Julie a cease and desist letter.

TMZ was the first to report that Hailey and Justin sent Julie a cease and desist letter via their lawyer, Evan Spiegel, who called the statements she made about their marriage in the video “outrageous false, fabricated, and defamatory.”

The letter also says she “manufactured a false defamatory narrative” about the couple and called her allegations “highly damaging.”

She was asked to stop making claims that Justin and Hailey are in an abusive relationship, and warned that if she doesn’t, the couple will do what is in their power “to protect their rights and remedies against you.”

Julie still doesn’t seem to be taking the situation seriously, though.

Not only has Julie already responded to the letter via TikTok, but she’s also shared her thoughts in a statement with People, saying that her video about Justin and Hailey is “clearly opinion-based commentary about relationship dynamics and power.”

“This situation isn’t about defamation; it’s about whether independent voices are allowed to express opinions about public and powerful figures without being met with legal pressure,” she said. “It’s elitist to treat disagreement as something that should be erased. Disagreement is not defamation, and commentary should not require permission.”

Julie added, “”What’s also worth noting is the pattern of escalation that often follows moments like this. Since speaking out, I’ve received messages containing explicit threats of physical harm — real crimes — in response to an opinion. I’m not speculating about who is behind these messages, but I do find it notable that many originate from anonymous or faceless accounts. That kind of response doesn’t strengthen an argument; it reinforces why intimidation is such a corrosive force in public conversation.”
