On Monday, a video surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) that showed the 56-year-old talking to a group of people in downtown Phoenix who had gathered outside.

It's not clear what the circumstances of the gathering were, but Jamie did seem comfortable sharing his story.

According to Jamie, it all started with a headache.

In the video, he can be heard saying, "April 11 last year, [I had] a bad headache, asked my boy for an Advil. I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything."

Next would come meetings with doctors to help determine exactly what was going on.

He wasn't satisfied with the opinion of the first doctor he saw.

“So, I’m in Atlanta, my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor. He said nah, gave me a cortisone shot," he says in the video. "Next doctor said, ‘Something’s going on up there.’ I won’t say it on camera."

That's all that Jamie shared of the incident — but it's the most he's opened up about his condition since the medical event happened last year.

Last summer, Jamie shared that he had been 'to hell and back' while recovering.

In a video he posted on Instagram in July 2023 to thank fans for their support, Jamie didn't share any specifics, but he did reveal that his condition had been pretty grim.

"I went through something that I thought I would never ever go through and I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates but to be honest with you I just didn't want you to see me like that, man," he said at the time.

Jamie seems to be doing much better these days.

He's back to work, hosting the Hulu game show Beat Shazam, and even launched his own whiskey brand earlier this year, B2B.

It's amazing just how much can change in a year, and it's good to see Jamie healthy and happy again after everything he's been through.
