In a new short story, Jessica Simpson made a major reveal. She describes hooking up with a mystery man in the early aughts that included sneaking around hotel rooms and on-set hookups while the A-lister's actual partner was none the wiser. But all we know about the man in question is that he's a "massive movie star." Hmm …
Jessica tells almost all in her new short story for Amazon.
The surprise short dropped on Wednesday and offers a "gossip between girlfriends" look at a secret relationship Jessica had when she was in her mid-20s. Jessica claims she met the actor at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, where he "eyed [her] up and down."
"He was undressing me with his eyes," she wrote of the mystery man, according to Page Six.
This happened during Jessica's separation from Nick Lachey, before they called it quits for good.
There was clearly a connection between Jessica and the actor, because she said she got his number that night. But instead of giving him a call, she briefly reconciled with Nick before ending things for good in 2006.
Once her marriage was behind her, Jessica says she finally took the man up on his offer and they connected at a Beverly Hills hotel.
The hotel hookup led to an ongoing affair.
After telling her that he was single, Jessica said they shared a kiss that sent a "warm rush all the way down [her] body."
After that the two started seeing more of one other, hitting clubs, spending time at a mutual friend's house, and even making time for on-set hookups.
But the steamy affair left Jessica feeling dirty.
All the sneaking around started to get to the pop star.
It didn't take long for Jessica to begin to feel "like a call girl" who was only there "to have sex" with the actor.
"I didn't care if he was my teenage fantasy come to life, this was not a choice that same girl, my younger self, would be proud of," she wrote in the short story.
We're dying to know who this mystery man is.
It doesn't seem as if Jessica has any intention of naming names — and she didn't mention him in her 2020 memoir Open Book, which covers a lot of her early life — so it doesn't appear we'll ever find out who the mystery Lothario was.
Hopefully Jessica keeps dropping these short stories for her fans. With exes like Johnny Knoxville, John Mayer, and more, we're betting she has a lot of tea to spill!
