King Charles Also Sells Jam — and It’s Now Cheaper than Meghan Markle’s

Meghan Markle and King Charles might not be on the best of terms, but they do share a common interest: making jam. And while Meghan started selling her own jam in April 2025, King Charles has sold his own jam for years now. However, recent reports suggest that this shared passion might actually be a source of competition. Shortly after Meghan’s first As Ever product launch, the Daily Mail hinted at a “jam war” between her and Charles. And now, according to a report from the New York Post, Charles has lowered the price of his jam, making it cheaper than Meghan’s As Ever fruit preserves.

Charles is selling his jam for $6.

Per the New York Post, Charles is selling his jam at the Sandringham gift shop. According to the publication, Charles’ raspberry jam costs just $6.70 per jar. “Our Sandringham raspberry preserve is naturally made to a unique recipe, with locally sourced ingredients,” a description of Charles’ jam reads. “This ruby-red conserve is perfect on warm buttered toast, or for topping a freshly baked scone.”

Meanwhile, Meghan sells her raspberry spread for $9 (and her raspberry spread in keepsake packaging for $14). Its description reads: “Where it all began — this signature As ever Raspberry Spread is inspired by the recipe Meghan crafted in her home kitchen. This signature blend delicately mixes the sweetness of raspberries with a hint of lemon, and is crafted with a fluid texture so it can be drizzled, spread, poured and enjoyed for so much more than your morning toast.”

Meghan’s brand launch reportedly increased Charles’ jam sales.

While Meghan and Charles might not be taking part in a “jam war,” their fans might be trying to start one. In April, after Meghan successfully launched her lifestyle brand and her first line of products sold out, Charles’ jam also appeared to sell out, the Daily Mail reported at the time. The report suggested that the publicity from Meghan’s brand launch could have motivated her critics to buy jam from Charles instead.

A report previously alleged that Meghan sent her jam to Charles.

Around the same time, a royal source claimed that Meghan sent some of her products to King Charles as a peace offering. In attempt to “build bridges with the royal family,” Meghan allegedly sent Charles a “sample box of delights from As Ever” that included “jams, honey, crêpes mix and various assortments.”

However, another source denied these claims and said “this did not happen.”
