Jon Gosselin Reveals His Bitter Custody Battle With Kate Is Finally Over After 14 Years

For as long as we can remember, Jon and Kate Gosselin have been locked in a bitter custody battle over their eight children, but now that's officially in the past. Jon has shared that their fight is over after 14 years of court dates and legal fights, and we can only imagine what a relief this must be.

Jon and Kate have been going back and forth for more than a decade.

For the most part, Kate has maintained custody of most of their children, and Jon remains estranged from all but two of them, including oldest daughters Mady and Cara.

Jon did end up winning full custody of Collin and Hannah, but now, all of their children are officially legal adults and will be turning 19 in May.

Jon says he is 'euphoric' that he can put the custody battle behind him.

In an interview with The Sun, Jon announced that after 14 years, it's all come to an end.

"Domestic Relations wanted to have a hearing, which they do every three years to reevaluate income and I just called my attorney and said 'Please, let's just put this to bed,'" Jon said. "So we've both signed termination agreements over the two remaining open child support cases, which means it's done. It's over."

Jon says he's forgiven Kate for money she owes him.

That allowed him to decide to move past it all, and now, there's nothing left to battle over in court.

"I feel euphoric, it's finally over, I don't have to deal with her, with court hearings, lawyers — it's done," he said. "I can get on with my life, it's such a good feeling. I don't even think it's sunk in yet because I've been going to court for so long."

He feels free to move on with his life.

Jon explained that he's finally free from the "intrusive" feelings that he couldn't live his life the way he wanted because Kate would bring it up in court.

"Now I can do what I want without having to worry about her coming back and saying anything. I'm looking forward to doing more DJing work — it started as a hobby but now it's become my passion," he said.

This next chapter of his life is all about him.

He says he's dating and picking up more DJ work, and he's glad to put himself first for a bit.

"I've always tried to do my best for my kids and what's going on with them. I've never done what's best for me. So now I'm going to concentrate on what I want," he shared.

Good for him — and we don't doubt he'll be there to support Hannah and Collin when they need him.
