A WWE Star Thought She Was Sharing a Funny Story Until Her Co-Star Reminded Everyone What’s at Stake

For as privileged as the life of a celebrity can be, it also comes with some serious drawbacks, including dealing with scary situations like stalkers. Recently, this problem seems to be especially prevalent when it comes to female WWE stars, and after one wrestler cracked a joke about inviting fans to her house, one of her co-stars is reminding her (and everyone else) that it’s definitely not a joking matter after facing a stalker of her own.

It started when Jordynne Grace shared a post about her HOA.

On June 17, Jordynne shared a video of herself in her driveway, joking about making sure her trash can closes all the way before garbage pick up so her HOA won’t be on her back about it.

Since her neighborhood was in full view behind her, a fan commented on the post, writing, “Now wrestlers are wondering how fans find out where they live with the houses in the [sic] backround.”

Jordynne replied, “come to my house if you want. I have seven dogs and a gun.”

She followed up her comment with a post on X. “Anyone in the public eye should have some type of security,” she wrote. “There are too many people with evil intentions and it’s virtually impossible to scrub your address from the internet.”

Her comments prompted fellow WWE star Deonna Purrazzo to share her own story.

Of course, having security is a great way to mitigate risks for celebrities. But not only is it expensive, it’s also not foolproof. Stalkers are a real danger, and another wrestler, Deonna Purrazzo, shared what happened to her in her own post on X.

“Last August, a man drove 2 hrs from CT to meet me at WrestleCon, thinking we were in a relationship. I had let him down gently that he had been catfished,” she said. “The next day, he drove back to CT to watch me wrestle at a local show.”

When she went to file a police report about the incident in Orlando, police claimed they couldn’t help her because the incident didn’t take place in Florida.

“This is why I train with firearms. This is why I carry pepper spray. This is why I have an alarm on my keychain,” she added.

A man accused of stalking another female wrestler was found not guilty earlier this month.

Shawn Chan, a 42-year-old man who was accused of stalking wrestler Liv Morgan, faced a Florida judge on June 15. According to Post Wrestling, Chan, who has been detained for the past year, was found not guilty by reason of insanity after he allegedly tried to break into Liv’s home last year.

These incidents all sound so terrifying. Even if you believe you can defend yourself, like Jordynne clearly does, things can go so wrong so fast. It’s important to take every precaution you can to keep yourself safe — even if you aren’t a famous wrestler.
